Looking at the link MadMaximus posted in the mad max thread. It reminded me at the bottom, the pic that looks to me as if it is Kit from night rider.
Main question is does anyone know if a 1/18 model has been made of this car?

I vaguely recall seeing a plastic kit of the Knight Rider car - it was a large scale but can't recall if it was 1:18 (unlikely) or 1:24 (more likely). I guess it was from Revell or someone similar.

The only Knight Rider stuff that has come out lately has been the model kits. To my knowledge there has never been a diecast of an early 80s Pontiac Trans Am or the Knight 2000 in 1/18 scale or 1/24 scale. Corgi did a diecast Knight Rider recently in close to 1/43 scale though and it looked pretty good.

Model kit wise, AMT offers the 1/25 kit, but it needs some minor mods to back date it to Knight 2000 specs since the body was retooled slightly to represent later Trans Am marks over the years. There is also a model kit out of the Knight 400 car from the TV movie Knight Rider 2000 and this one looks more like a Pontiac Banshee (The car was a Dodge Stealth with a fibreglass body on it to provide the appearance of a Banshee). In Japan, Aoshima is doing some 1/24 (or close to) scale RC cars of KITT and KARR in their mini RC line and also has a static model of the tractor trailer. Only thing I recall that was close to 1/18 diecast was long ago Revell did a plastic 1/16 (I believe) model kit of the early 80s Firebird.

With this resurgence in Knight Rider product, hopefully a 1/18 diecast will be produced. But I haven't heard anything announced or seen any mentions in the Ertl catalogs up here yet. But If I hear anything I'll let you know.
