You'll probably have to be really quick for accomodation though as January is High Season for tourists in Taupo so might end up having to stay in Hamilton (1.5 hours away) or further if your not quick enough.

Nice idea but silly timing. Oh and the circuit ancillary facilities (Pit Garages etc) are only just starting construction.

If the main race is on one day, I might just drive up from Palmy on the day. I wonder what the support races will be considering that the Summer Series is being moved to accomodate this. I doubt the V8's will be there.
