Did any of you Perth based people check out the WRC round at the weekend?...

..what about Delecour & Grataloup's crash.... that was a shocker.

I've attached a pic of the car (post crash version) if anyone missed the telecast. Delecour was OK, but Grataloup was knocked about with some pretty bad injuries. He should recover however.

Yes I was one of the last persons that spoke to them just before the crash, we did the tyre marking and I did close the door on him and wished them well as we do to all the teams.
just the same happened last year.
was also involved in the Makkinnen weight affair, they knew they were underweight as Makkinnen was on purpose leaning on the car while on the scales like two years ago and he got very angry and abusive again as he knew he was again going to be disqualified. Last time was an illegal waterpump housing after the car was examined at post scrutineering
The car had all of a sudden no spare tyre and all the relevant gear that these cars normaly always have with them.
Two years ago he nearly killed /injured us scrutineers by being out of control due to anger over a situation he put himself in and trying to bluff trough , Not at this event as he found out again!
the newly crowned groupN team was very courtious as al other teams are other that this Makinnen and his gorrila codriver, most unpleasant.
