Just to show all the cops are not down on race car drivers...
in 1983 Moffat and his car had to put a new motor in on Saturday night before racing on Sunday. They went to Orange to put the car on the dyno and were told at 1am. to stop the noise.(remember it was a RX7)Moff told the cops the car was racing the next morning and they had to "run it in" so the cops said follow us back to Bathurst,lights and all,to run it in.Try that today!!!!

He would have one if he didn't muff up one of his pitstops.

And once again Dazz pleads "please tell us if and when we Might get the Moffat and other RX-7's????? :)

After all Moff's RX-7 was a Touring Car Championship winner, a Sandown winner and top 3 at Bathurst a couple of times, worthy of doing in my humble opinion.

The Moffat RX-7 would be absolutely FANTASTIC. I'm prepared to wait however long it takes to be made, but just as long as it is made at some stage.

Police helping out race/rally car drivers has also been done here in W.A.
A couple of years ago one frontrunning Worldrallycar driver got an escort to a servicestation behind a policecar but the driver started actualy nudging the Policecar at 160km/hour+ and overtook the escortpolicecar plus ,....afterwards the officer was actualy abused for not going fast enough!!! Some sort of thanks!! :confused:

As well as the Moffat versions, you could also have the Peter McLeod Slick 50 RX-7, Bob Morris (ex Barry Jones) State Bank sponsored Oran Park winner, Barry Jones's RX-7 etc etc as there were some great looking versions.

JKust a pity you can't replicate the sound :)
