When we started doing our little Australian liveried T Models back in 1992, I got so sick of companies having absolutely NO history or records, that I vowed if we ever made a line of model cars, I would keep all the development records, prototypes and number 1 model of everything.
I have done that with one exception...Mr Hannenberger has the number 0001 Phantom Black Monaro CV8 model, but I have the number 1 real CV8 Monaro.
So...short answer...Biante has all the number 0001 models.

I would have assumed all model manufacturers would have keep model number 1.

However several years ago I ordered the Vitesse / Skid - Rally Australia 'Winfield' Lancer of Tommi Makinen sight unseen from overseas and was suprised to see when it arrived that it was certificate # 0001 of 2000. I guess it only proves that I have the #1 certificate not necessarily the #1 model.

I buy from a Ford dearler and have always tended it get low numbered models. All bar 1 of the many that I have bought from them over the past 2 years are in the first 1000 of a particular series.
My question is, does Ford & Holden dearlers get 1st preference when models arrive (ie. they get theirs first) or is it simply a considence ??????
cheers.

How do you know what number your really getting as the certificates are seperate from the cars my model shop has all the cars in boxes and the certificates behind the counter so i could get certificate number 5 and the car could be the last they made so who knows what number your really getting.

I guess you may just have to take Biante's word for it as to whether the certificate matches the car. Anyhow, without individual serial #'s on the models there would be no way to prove otherswise.
cheers.

considering all the cars are made identical after the prototyps, it soesnt really matter when the car was actually made, however, it would be great if the sar had the serial number on it (on the chassis) for security reasons

Its very costly and time consuming to number every chassis. Only way is with an attached plate (which can be pulled off) or engrave it by hand. In runs of 6000 it is not feasable.
Get yourself one of our Security Systems which will be out in a couple of weeks. They should be on the site, if not, we will put them on on Monday. $7.95 inc GST. Its our contribution to stopping the bandits.
The certificates do NOT match the car...sometimes as is the case with the Moffat set, we print the certificates here and the cars and certificates do not meet up until they are delivered to you.
The MAIN purpose is to verify that only XXXX are made and can EVER be made.

Now that the question has been raised, what are some of the more interesting certificate numbers you have recived, is it extreamly low or match the engine size or race number etc.
