Just announced today is the release of the Mark Webber 5th place AGP car from Minichamps..
It is due in the first quarter of 2003..ie between January and March.
It is a 1:43rd model.

The Webber showcar is the same bodymould as the PS01 testcar
nothing against this but it is not an exact replica of the 2002 australian 5th place Melbourne car. The livery is stunning and would be even better in 1/18
This is the same as the First points car Melbourne Raikonen model. This is also not the correct mould ,never the less!!
I am looking forward to have this emotion stirring car in my collection just as the Alan Jones just released nicely detailed 1/43 Williams car , now proudly in my possesion and hopefully one day also in 1/18
Interesting to see if the L.E. 1440pcs. Webber car will go to silly $ heights like the Raikonnen models.:D

FF, you obviously don't know what launch cars are. Launch cars are a mock up of the new year livery on last years car. They always have been. No one is saying that this car is the 2002 AGP car used by Webber.

The 2002 car should be used for the First points edition.

I think webbers launch car will be traded well but not to the heights of the Kimi 1st points, which buy the way has settled back to normal levels again. Webbers 1st point car will proberly sell well as it is going to be part of a quasi collection "the 1st points collection" within the minichamps releases.

Lets just hope that Mattel improve the quality overt the winter break and the Jaguar Model for next year is better than this year. At least we wont have to worry about supply, I hope they do the R3 test drive as well.

All we will have to do is get the correct decals (Best to Becks) from North America to complete the Webber cars for season 2003.

Looks like 2003 will require a new cabinet.

How many will be made admin?
Also Aussiecollecter how many Brands Hatch F3 97 prints do you have?
Also save me a Salo block AGP 2002 print?
Unless the Webber club have some spares that foundation members didn't want.

Wondered if the Mark Webber foundation will commission or supply models of Marks cars ?

The Jos Verstappen Fan Club in the Netherlands received an exclusive supply from Minichamps of the 1999 Honda F1 Testcar driven by Jos that is availble through their website :-

http://www.verstappen.nl/NL/item21/snindex.html

Perhaps being the member of a particular drivers fanclub is the only way to ensure you receive those limited edition models in the future.

I am somehow looking to be able to concoct a 1/18 2002 Minardi model .
Even if it means to use a jordan or a Jaguar or a combination of the two.
I find this years minardi an outstanding car.
the same was the case with the Arrows of 1997 ( Hill, Danka sponsored) and never made in 1/18!!!!! even in 1/43 it was difficult to obtain!!! what is going on !!! models of de la Rosa and the like a plenty but not the australian drivers!!
Wherer is a model in 1/18 of Jack Brabham or his son , Alan Jones, Larry Perkins,Timmo the CAMS @@@@* or the Mark Webber!!!! and the forgotten Merlbourne man!! in the 1950era
Hello !!!,anybody feels like me or am I by myself in this regard.
Aussieconnector ;please do refrain from a reply!! :D

FF you are right but unfortunately we live in a commercial world and the commercial viability of 1/18th scale models for those drivers may not have the ability to produce the sales required. Brabham and Jones you would think should be ok as Jones was in the Williams and they have a huge following and the mould can be used for other great drivers. Brabham, well which year and what car do you pick, I thought that quartzo or exoto would have done his by now. We can only wait and see.

As for the rest they only have Australian appeal.

Yeah Yeah I have Webber and Yoong, they are excellent, the paint job is great its a real shame that we may never see these cars in 1/18th.

I am trying to get an extra webber to do a 1/43rd R3 test drive or a B200 Benetton test drive conversion.
