Looks impressive, sadly he was lapping some 8 seconds off Dave Sieders who won the race ;)

Love the way he drove by everyone coming down the mountain.
If he was 8 secs off the pace of the winner then everyone else looked about 20secs off.
Great with the sound.

That's a hell of a gap between cars in a one make series. Who does it think it is, A1 gp? :D

But he was only in an Elise (Class B), Sieders was in an Exige (Class A). Evans finished 11th overall and first in class B.

Results here..... http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results.cgi?09/10/2005.MOUN.R6
Sieders 2m39.2, Dean Evans 2m47.7
Iirc there was a yellow, safety car came out end of lap 1, was out for a few laps, then the race settled down....

You're good to remember a Lotus race that well. I don't bother with them anymore to be honest.

I think that not only is Larry the rFactor king, he's also the historical motortsport king as well

I think so. I use the Lotus races to re-stock the beer or relieve the pressure caused by beer! :D

Love the way he drove by everyone coming down the mountain. The section just before The Esses was my favourite bit too - Will I, won't I? Bugger it, let's just take three around the outside in one go... :)
