This car if i remember was talked about previously.

There is a photo from a 1973 Wheels mags on ebay

Item # 1784767909

Would it make a good model?

The Superbird is perhaps a little plain looking, and nothing special in comparison to the GT.

With the XB series, the Goss Special would make a striking model, regardless of the original car being little more than a tizzied-up base Falcon 500 Hardtop with a 302 V8.

I think that as the Superbird was such a famous showcar (and of course it was a Falcon hardtop - very nice!) it will/should be made as a model. The graphics were much more striking than on the eventual production model, and it did apparently have a trick engine. However the Wheels test is of the road car which was GT spec. I will point out that the magazine seller is claiming that it has the same spec or is the prototype for the RPO 83, which is, as we say in Pommyland, cobblers.

With Globe Alloys and LHA 614 on the number plate please.

There is also Hardtops with 'Torque Twister Pos-A- Traction' tyres and a myriad of stripes and blackouts. These were released in 351 GT and 302. Possibly with '68' Mustang Bonnet Scoops.
