2 stages left for the day

Atko retained first but lost 8sec to Gronholm in stage 6 - he's flying atm; Loeb is still on the pace compared to the frontrunners here and up to 5th but still not near Gronholm; what have they put in that Ford's engine?

They have shown that they have the pace, now lets just pray to the gods of high octane that they can have some reliability to go with it. Being a Subaru fan I'm starting to understand how Carlton supporters have felt over the last couple of years.

What rallying are you talking about lachlan???? Is there some on in Oz? Great that Neal likes your efforts tho'. How is he going to pay you? In a joy ride? That would make it worth while!

Rally of Canberra!!! Asia Pacific Round 3. Some really nice cars racing, Bates Corolla and Guests Ford sound so good. It was a night stage tonight and you could see about 4 cars going at the same time. (No trees left after the bush fire)

I'm not sure how he is going to pay :) I was going to give him one but he was about to go out on stage and didn't have anywhere to put it, he said to drop it off at his work shop next week. Might scam something out of him :) ??

Only went to the briefing, not needed tonight but meeting the film crew at 7am at their hotel. I seem to have drawn the short straw. I will be taking the guys who are filming stage starts, interviews with drivers and I think one mid stage on Sunday. At least I won't get too brown.:D

Nice bunch who seem to be very well organised.

Gronholm now in the lead after SS7, then Solberg, Atko and Loeb. Apparently the Subarus used hard compound tyres this morning when everyone else used soft. Hards were the way to go.

Have fun. I think Guest rolled this Ford on the first stage?

Looks like Gronholm has taken the lead :(

RoC? I can honestly say that I haven't been following the ARC/APRC since both Subaru and Bitsaremissing dropped out of the ARC. If it ain't WRC or PWRC then the interest isn't there for me. Tho I did hear a rumour that the new Rex is Sooooo ugly that Subaru Aust are looking at getting back into rallying just to get some interest in the car.

Get something out of him, after all, what has he ever done for you? ;) Last I heard, Toyota were spending $3mill per year on the ARC with top flight privateers spending 1/10th at $300k so he can afford to take you for a spin at the least, if not give you your own S2000.

I saw that Guesty had lost time. Notice that Simon is about 10 secs in front of Cody who is leading the AsiaPacific.

Wow - just got up this morning to see Atko in 3rd - woohoo !! .. although only a couple of seconds between him and Sprdo in 6th ... Hope he keeps it up although I reckon he'll get gobbled up by the Fords and Citroens:(

I know its not WRC Acropolis but I have just seen a pick of the Guesty's rolled S2000 Fiesta ... he rolled it on the opening stage of ROC. Simon Evans is leading the ARC competition and Cody Crocker is still leading the APRC comp half way through todays stages ..

Ouch!!! When I saw him go past he was FLYING!! Bad luck, but we all know he's done it before.

He was really great last night when he was signing my model, he even went and found David Green to sign it aswell.

I think the WRC is about to start.

Guesty finished tonight. Said he was more confident with it. Last night they stuffed up the call. Flat out along a fence line for about 2km then a blind 90 degree left hand off camber corner. They miscounted the humps and missed his braking point.

Simon Evans was very happy, I could not believe how he got every sponsor in one sentence. The film guys may use it more as how to keep your sponsor onside. Neal loves his new car. Only problem he had was a flat tyre this morning. I love the noise of these S2000. Just like the old days.

Singer, if you are going out tomorrow it will be very cold. Was getting there tonight.

Great looking car, lachlan. I've been keeping my eye out for one of them or the decals to do one, but no luck so far. Still we all have to have a 'holy grail' to hunt for. Problem is I have so many :D

Atco 5th with Henning Solberg knocking on the door 2 secs behind.

Apparently Chris got a puncture with 10 k to go on the big stage and the mousse failed :( Still Petter in top 3 and Chris still in points I guess some people will be happy ;)

Cheers
Lee

well 1 stage left to run; Solberg maintains 3rd; Atko in 6th; Gronholm out in front of Loeb - barring any unforseen incidents then the rally should end

1. Gronholm
2. Loeb
3. Solberg
4. Hirvonen
5. Solberg H
6. Atko
7. Kopeky
8. Stohl

note the final stage is the SS; this should give Marcus a 9point lead in the drivers title at ther halfway stage of the season

Well at least Atko got some points and Petter got on the podium ... The Subaru's showed some pace this weekend with punctures and damper failures on the tough rocky Greek roads causing some problems ... Finland next - my favorite rally for the year !! ... Can;t see anyone beating Gronholm on that rally so all bodes well for him holding off "croissant boy" in the championship race !! /....

Just a pity that Finland is 9 weeks away. Thats one HUGE break in the middle of the season.

Thats a great break, as it might give Subaru enough time to pull the heads of there butts and get the car working properly. Atko has done ok in Finland previously lets just hope he can keep the thing on the road

On the plus side both cars showed some real speed, but for some reason seem to fall off the pace as the event unfolds. With any luck, leading the rally will be a tick in the box for Atco for next year. It would be nice to see him on the podium for a change, tho'.
