I can recall Peter Brock racing a #05 Ford T-bird NASCAR back in the early nineties at the Calder Park 'Dome and Dick Johsnon in a #17 Ford at the same time period.
Given that Motorsports Authentics (I think they have links to Minichamps) has some very good moulds of this Ford in 1:24 scale (both Action and Team Caliber, both owned by Motorsport Authenticsc these days had a mould for this particular Ford, with the Team Caliber being the more accurate), would there be any interest from fans of both drivers for Biante to investigate the feasibility of having these made for the Australian market.
As a collector of NASCAR models, this would look great in my collection however I believe alot of non NASCAR collectors would also get these products due to the drivers involved - any comment?
Also, if anyone has pics of these cars, please upload as I do not have any.

Yes please. Would also like the Alan Grice Fosters Ols. Maybe Graham Crosby's Bob Janr T marts Ols as well.

I'd only want them if they could be produced in 1/18, as 1/24 scale would look rather odd amongst the other cars from each respective collection, imho. ;)

There were quite a few who drove Nascars. Until Marcus, I think only Grice and Johnson went overseas.
Here is my version of what Dick drove in the US.

Jim Richards also raced in NASCAR, it was a non championship race in Japan with all the Winston Cup cars.

I was not aware of Brock in a T-Bird at Calder, I had seen him in an xf falcon 05 at Auscar thunderdome though...

From memory PB only did one race in a T-Bird. A white car with 05 numbers & I think Mobil sponsorship.(Same basic scheme as the XF he ran for a few races). Don't remember anything else, (perhaps the drive even fell through?), but there was several photos of the car published around that time. "Jums" Pontiac with Bob Jane Sponsorship was not a bad looking car either...The Yellow one with the 'Tyre Tracks' down the sides. DJs T-Bird was Red with Redkote/Shell sponsorship & was ex Davey Allison car from 1986 season I think.....Probably would have been a top car after a couple of 'shakedown races' but I think it pretty much ended up at the tip after after AG used it in place of brakes & a few other cars bounced off it !! :D

I can say that i have driven that car, it ended up being bought by Marshall Brewer and then being run as a drive car which is when i drove it.
Not many people can say they have driven the same race car as Brock :D
I hope that some how we get the Nascar and Auscar's built but i doubt it, we could always get Brad Jones's cars done to strech the use of the mould out.
I am trying get copies of the races if anyone has them, last resort might be to buy them from Atlab if they still have them.
