As the wife of a V8 model car collector and V8 supercar fan myself, I couldn't help but notice on the buy/sell /swap section that there is a Sharon from NSW and Catherine from Melbourne and Cathie from Townsville trying to do deals with model cars. "Well" it just goes to show how times change, NO MORE just changing dirty nappies and being chained to the kitchen sink. :D Just wonderind how many females out there buy model cars for their own interest?

I do! :) I have mostly 1/43 scale rally cars and some other stuff aswell (F1, touring cars etc). At the moment I'm trying to get all Markko Martins cars - there are at least 13 I know of... but some are so hard to find.

Marko Martin ,if I say correctly ,comes from yor country? am I not correct? I had the pleasure to meet him and his co driver and is a nice young pleasant person.here at Rally Ausrtalia
There is one that I know of from IXO RAM002 Subaru Impreza WRC 2001#6 Martin M. Carlo 2001. very nice model, but you will have this I am sure :)
Didn't Marko leave Suburu last year?
Drivers like Mcrae and Burns who leave Suburu I find them traitors but Marko is an exeption on my list.

Yep, Markko is from my country - I've seen him racing many times on estonian roads.
I do have the IXO Subaru, 2 different Toyota Corollas and 1 Ford Escort. I'm trying to get my hands on all the 1/43 and 1/24 scale kits aswell.
I actually think it was a right decision for Markko to leave Subaru - now he can really fight against Petter Solberg :) If rally GB was anything to go by, next year will be great!

My wife doesn't collect, as she IS stuck changing nappies & cooking for 3 kids (4,2 & 1 month) but she did get ME into collecting, so I can honestly say that it's all her fault!

Forgot to mention that my wife has the worlds largest collections of: Brass ornaments, Miniature houses/cottages, Teasets, Mini sewing machines, & Mini Teddy-Bears etc etc. She also couldn't be happier at the moment as she got our little girl healthy & happy 1 month ago after 2 ratbag boys & a miscarriage.

My wife couldn't give a fat rats clacker for my models, unfortunately.:(
Lucky that I have that special anti-dust spray or they would never be cleaned. Think yourself lucky, you fellas that have ladies with well developed appreciation for the finest things (motor cars)!

I don't buy the cars myself, but I do have a say in what is bought.
Hubby asks my opinion first as if to stop at one, and I do actually like the models - all of them, whether they be Ford or Holden & even Crysler! I don't know one model from another - thats where his expertise comes in & he has a great eye for detail.....
It certainly beats wasting money at the pub, and It's a great investment to boot.
