Just looking at Kollectable Kaos web site & I noticed in the Classic Carlectables latest products is Allan Moffats 76 attc XB. Biante haven't added this one to the Moffat collection yet.

I was sure Biante released this car as the #25. The numbers changed during the year.
Here is one for sale at Gateway

Mal, Biante did the 75 Bathurst edition, the CC Version is the 76 ATCC version. The 76 edition has fewer sponsors and no front spoiler, i'll have a look at the pic tomorrow to refresh my old memory of the other differences....
Perhaps a BBQ version of it may have been a bit different ;)
Interestingly, Biante are bringing out the cars replacement, "Phoenix" in the form of the Moff/Vern bathurst 76 version... rising from the ashes..

If your looking for pictures, have a look in the Chevron book 'Australian Touring Car Championship' Pgs 169 &175. I actually looked this car up yesterday as I was shown the CC flyer by my dealer as he coud not remember it as #2. I just forgot that Moff ran it at Bathurst in the same scheme as #25. For some reason I thought it was white there.:o

The one in the pic looks remarkable like the one I hold in my hand (grill wise)

The Biante in the pic above looks like an XC front with XB grille and bumper - it doesn't slope back like the XB. The CC car looks from the pic as though it's angled correctly.

thats the same thing i said on another forum nick. the biante xb does look like a xc mold with the xb grill mounted inbetween the fenders. the inner & outer head lights aren't recessed enough on the biantes and there flush with each other. while real xb's inner head lights are more recessed than the outer lights. the front fenders should travel inward from top"hood" to bottom"bumper" instead of straight up & down like a xc falcon. the bumper looks Like it sticks out a little more on the cc version looking at it from the side veiw.
from the pics the cc version does look more like a real xb coupe than the AA version.

It looks great, like a real XB. I have the Biante version of the 75 car, it looks fine from behind - so I never look at the front. Plus the spoiler annoys me. In the 1970s the "Pan-Am" logo was about as famous as Coca Cola or McDonalds so it is frustrating that the font style is so wrong. The mistakes on teh XB annoy me more than other mistakes on other models. For some reason the holes in the spoiler of the Goss XA 1:18 that weren't on the original don't bother me at all so my gripes are not consistent.

Not to start yet another , but the spoiler holes are in the same position as on the replica that was build by John Goss himself.
I have some front on pics of the car, when it was at Bathurst, but the files are just slightly to big and I am to stupid to know how to make them smaller.
Same as the recent pics I took of the test day from Ray Stubber refurbished Historic Camaro.
Maybe I should email them to wayno!

Now thats exactly what I've always thought of the Biante XB's. Great explanation. I'll be up for the CC '76 car for sure.
