Saw on CH 10 last night that Larry had Mark Skaife test the Jack Daniels Racing Commodores:surprised:, Larry actually asked Mark to wring the life out of it to find out if they could be made to faster, and also give Shane and Jack a few driving tips. Skaife's conclusion at the end of the day,"There a damn good car!":D. I never thought I would see this happen these days, but if you have watched the video"In the Pits" it shows Larry giving tips to a privateer on how to get around Oran Park quicker.:):)

Many years ago to settle the argumant that it's more the car than the driver, Skaife Jumped in the lansvale smash repairs car at Eastern Creek and went 1 seond faster than regular pilot trevor ashby

The times are very interesting and confirm what i have believed for a long time. Your only as good as the car under you.

apparently Rick Kelly also had a drive of the JD car last month and all said was fine. I wonder what Rick's sklls of car setup and feedback are like or whether he just adopts the one Tander uses or his techies recommend. I know Skaife is a very technically literate driver not sure about Kelly.

From what was reported, Rick only drove the ride car which I assume is "dedicated" and not the regular car with an extra seat fitted, Lavenlaar???
