I got a few of the Skylines, they sell in Japan & I think the mould of the R32 Skyline was used for the Biante bathurst cars, as it's a very good mould of the R32.
They don't cost much & also they are the 1:43 scale cars used in the magazines, you know the ones that come out on a monthly basis & come with a 1:43 car, that is popular in the UK.

The original Del Prado were a European Part work Magazine series the one I remember featured an interesting selection of 70 Road Cars including several that I have still to see elsewhere. The quality varied from not bad for the price to very good.
The Japanese series came along much later. This Racing car seies is completely new to me and is one I would like to find out more about.\
Cheers

Didn't they make a taxi series? I think they made the deluxe reds which are often confused with the trax model.

My nephew gave me about 40 of these rally cars that he got free with a magazine. Everytime he came around he was taken by my collection of biante bathurst cars and kept telling me about them and when I got them I must say I,m pleased with them

Are Del Prado and De Agostini the same company or different? I'm certain that the DA ones are iXO models with unpainted interiors. There are a few ring ins that they haven't done (Porches) but most can be found on the iXO web site. As has been said, some are OK quality for the money while others are excelent for what you pay.

I think they call them blister packs
There are more and more f1 models coming online now too but some are not too accurate. RBA is another one around and its possible they are all made at the same factory in Spain.

I have a Del Prado R32 Calsonic GT-R from the Japanese Del Prado Race Car Collection. It's okay for the money but you get a Japanese language booklet and little picture cards (x2). I paid only AU$10 so I'm happy!
And yes, Mike is right - the R32 was the basis for the Biante cars. I wished they used the Ebbro Group A cars personally....

Andrew,
How do you display them?
are they in a box or in that little plastic pocket?

They have the small plastic bubble packing to which you refer - not a nice hard plastic case. The Japanese released R32 GTR Del Prado I got was also inside a cardboard box. I removed it from the bubble packaging and have displayed it in my 1:43 Biante 'cabinet' that is hung off the wall. They would not display well in the plastic bubble.
