Currumbin Sanctuary Group C Bumper Cars

Does anybody remember back in 83/84 at currumbin bird sanctuary on the Gold Coast they had bumper cars in the fun park for kids. Was wonderng if anybody knows wether any of them survived after all these years or what ever has happened to them.:cool:

Thet werent there in Nov 2006 when I took my family, but I seem to remember the local theme park here "Mini Land & Dino Land having Group A bumper cars. I can remember a JPS BMW & a DJR Mustang. Thanks for posting this, I had forgotten about them, the place has since closed down, I wonder what happened to them ?

The ones I saw had a generic sedan type body & the driver sat in a hole where the roof should have been & they were painted to resemble the race car. These were probably more kiddies cars than dodgem cars.

Dunno if it's the same paint scheme as they used to be.....but they do have Group A livery's I think.....from memory one's painted up as a Volvo.....think there may be a Brock one too??

Far out, I remember riding those in 1982! From memory the track was just a big rectangle shape?

I don't think it was either......I remember them being at Currumbin Sanctuary in the early 90s.

The v8's might have Stayed and the 4 & 6 cylinders went of on there own :D :D
or was it the other way around.
