Would anyone know how to go about finding out if a trademark is still under license?Without going to Lawyers?

Thanks Whitlam, Had a look earlier,The one I'm looking at is American and was used many years ago,like most logos it has changed considerably over the years,so was wondering if the one that was used X years ago would be still reg'd or if it would be obsolete.
