Got a trax brochure in the mail today with thier new superscale chargers. Have seen one of thier 1;24 XC's & they look all right. Here is the website address if you want a look. The magenta one looks pretty groovy and I cant see it lasting too long....

They do look pretty good. You can even wind the windows down and open the glove box!!! I will still wait for the Biante model thou. At 1:24, it would look silly next to my 1:18 anyway. Hopefully the 1:18 Biante chargers wont be too far away

How they expect to sell those Trax cars, i'll never know. The build quality is simply crap.
Personally, id rather wait for something that is more realistic, than own a sub standard model.
And i still cant work out why they are more expensive than Biante....

If your going to do a job, you may as well do it properly, or not at all.

Hi Perry,
Sorry ol' mate I can't agree with your comments on the 1:24 scale Chargers, the quality is 1st class, and with each & every model TRAX keep getting better.
The model is more expensive than the Auto Art because there is not as many made, thus not flooding the market & making the collector suffer!
TRAX also have "Not" been letting on to everyone via the website that the charger has been coming for 2 years including expected dates, then not delivering!
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and you have shared yours, however I don't agree!
I have every Charger that TRAX have made, do you know why?
Because TRAX actually make a Charger!
To my knowledge only TRAX & Dinkum Classics actually made Chargers!
Going by the pic's the TRAX 1:24 scale is a "VERY" accurate model, and I've ordered 1 of each colour, because I can!

Cheers

No worries Phil, i haven't yet seen the model, only the promo brochure with misaligned stickers, inaccurate part details etc etc.
Maybe its just the models in the promo shots that look terrible.

Hopefully they will be much better quality than the Monaros.
I was personally very disappointed when i saw the monaros. I was looking forward to them so much, and when my mate bought one, and i saw it, i figured the wait for biante would be worth it.

Im not sure what you mean about "flooding the market, making the collector suffer". Limited supplies help the second hand pricing, and lets that model achieve somewhat of an exclusivity within the market, but that is detrimental to the collector.
If you mean, that exclusivity is good for the second hand market, that can only benefit investors or dealers. If Trax release one single car, at a price of $1,000,000 name one collector who would benefit??
The fact that Trax are still trying to flog the HKTG Monaros 12 months after release shows they are neither exclusive, nor under demand.

And limiting the production numbers of a product does not make it desirable. Quality, brand recognition, value for money and maintaining the flow of brand/model in a collection makes it desirable.
