View Full Version : Sport sedan models
With Hot memoribillia making the Moffat Brut 33 Sports sedan hows about Biante making 70's Sports sedan models?
Models like Grice and Frank Gadners Chev Corsias,Moffat and Janes Chev Monzas,Moffat Capri,Richards Mustang,Goss's super XA,Richards super XC and John Mccorbacks Vallaint Charger with the F5000 engine.
All these would make great models.
If any one else can add any more ideas of 70's Sports sedans that should become models please post them below.

how about Grice's JPS BMW (except it needs the JPS signage to look any good), Bryan Thompson's Mercedes and Mark Trenowith's XJS Jaguar
There were several XU-1's in Sports sedans.Even the XU-1 V8 that was due to race in series production got upgraded and raced in sports sedan spec.

How about Harry LeFoe's V8 Hillman Imp? Or the more orthordox Graham Ritter Imps. Or The Lakis Mantikus (I hope I spelt his name right) Buckle LMS Special (fastback Mini)? Bryan Thompson's
fastback VW or Chevy Camaro?
Goodness, Gracious Me! What about the #179 and #79 Austin A30 which (what's his name?) used to drive.
Sorry!
I was getting a bit excited.
Speaking of Brocky's A30, I'm modifying a couple of Dinky A30s to the old Brocky specs as per the photos I took at the Hume Weir Circuit back in the mid to late 60s. I'm moving the centre pillar back to change it from a 4 to 2 door which is easy enough but the only problem is going to be finding the right wheels as my photos are of a moving car. I think they were a black 5 spoke mag in a polished alloy rim.
Any information greatfully accepted.

Sorry! Just thought of another one.
I think it was Tony Edmonson? V8 Alpha. I used to watch it race at Calder but that was 30 odd years ago and the memory is slipping away. I think I saw the car at Sandown this weekend just gone.
It was unbeatable in it's day, all aluminium body etc.

How about the Bill Bown guard rail hugging XY, '86 Brock/Moffat VK Commodore (which collection do I list it under?), The flaming Alan Jones EF, Katayama's RX2 Mazda, 3 and 1/2 twist with a bloke called Pike filming.
Just a few examples for a new collection 'Cars of the Bashed and Flameous'.
Do you think that smoke you smelling??...mmm...
