Wow, just looking at some of the prices from www.modelcars.com.au and I nearly fainted.

Is this really the going rate for the following cars?

"22722 Ford Falcon XY GTHO twin mirror (white/black bonnet stripes) Limited Edition no 123 of 900 pieces made exclusively for distributors and corporate customers A$2500.00"

And this:

"NSBW Nissan Skyline GTR Gibson Motorsport Bathurst Tooheys 1000 winner 1992 Skaife/Richards (red) No.1, Limited Edition of 4,020 pieces, made for Biante Models A$600.00"

I have three of the Gibson Motorsport GT-R's, but I would have thought that collectively they were worth maybe a little more than the what they are selling ONE for!

Back to this thread, if you mean sites that sell Biante cars, then I don't know any that haven't already been posted, except there is a Kiwi site going round that I can't for the life of me find. It has been posted here in the forums before, and sells Biante products. For a good site selling Japanese model cars, check out www.ebbro.com.hk
It's not for everyone though.

Hi Andrew,

Seeing that you have 3 Gibson Motorsport Nissan GTR's perhaps you would be interested in swapping one for a DJR Sierra?

let me know if you're interested?

Cheers, Jason

Sorry Jason, I already have a DJR Sierra. My three Gibson Motorsport GT-Rs took me a while to get and at considerable expense (the first one I got was at the normal retail, but the subsequent two were certainly above that). One of them has the Winfield sponsorship on it now, which looks pretty good. The other two are staying just as Biante released them.
Sorry Jason to disappoint you, but I actually don't need another Sierra.
"What is he doing with 3 GT-R's?", I hear you think. Well, I am a GT-R freak - just ask Graeme, a regular contributor to these forums. So getting three was a normal thing for me to do. Plus, when I got them, they still hadn't realised their true value. I still consider them the 'sleeper' of Biante's releases so far. None of them are for sale, so I'm not out to make a quick buck ripping off collectors.
Once again, sorry for not being interested in swapping. But absolutely do not pay the money that www.modelcars.com.au are asking. $600 is outrageous.
Best of luck in finding one though...

Why do we always jump to that conclusion. Andrew is a GT-R freak...is a V8 freak... i personally am a swrt freak. i have 25 swrt cars, all wrc speck from 97-02 all of the cars are pretty much the same, save for minor differences between 97-99, and the reasonable differences between 99-00 and the major differences between 00-01 however, apart from the sponsership the cars from each yr are basically the same: so what! not to me they aren't, and not to a rally or subaru fan. that's the whole point of collecting for yourself....
anywho just havin. a banter never mind me.. back to the home..... ahh serenity now...serenity now....

Tumbo - do you collect any Subaru kits? There are so many out there... plastic ones from Tamiya, resin and white metal ones from Racing 43, CB COM etc...

Recently i've had some experience with www.darcysmodelcars.com and they seem rather nice.

Has anyone check out www.v8supermodelcars.com in comparison to Darcys Model Cars? It might be just me but i think there are some simarlarities there

I visited darcys model cars site after getting a card from the Bendigo swap Meet, couldnt believe some of the prices they were asking...i wonder if people REALLY pay what their asking price's are.....

Oh Five, they are one and the same, their signature is the same, same host, same designer. And the prices, what are these guys on. Its not like Bendigo is the backwater of Victoria as far as freight costs go.

I guess they won't sell to much.

Not at this point in time, all of the ones i collect are trofeu/autoart or IXO, however, i do want to collect some 1/43 resin kits, the Starter model kits look good, if i can find them, what other 1/43 resin kits are out there subaru rally team wrc wise?

Racing 43 has some white metal Subaru kits, no resin ones that I know of. I have ordered a 2002 Ford Focus, I'll let you know how the kit looks and how easy/difficult it is to make.

Do a search in http://www.grandprixmodels.co.uk/shop/shop.asp
Enter the car name and the scale you want. There's a quite big list of different kits and decals out there, but not all of them are good.

Hi Guys;

Here is another website which is Diecast Collectors magazine website.

www.diecast-collector.com/main/default.asp

Without this magazine I am lost to find what is available to the rest of the world. Top Read.

I found an E-mail buddy from Portsmouth and we have been swapping diecast for the last 4 1/2 years. I have been swapping a combination of Biante/Classic's etc... anything to do with V8s and he loves it and in return I get hold of those hard to get releases of the BMW -flip-top models because the people from Mulgrave (BMW Australia) don't believe these items exist on their computers e.g. BMW 635-CSi Ravaglia/Pirro Tourist Trophy car from 1986/ BMW M3 (E30) Red -sorry can't help you part no does not exist -please try again some other time

Besides all the well known sites out there. I recently purchased a model and some prints from a new site in NSW www.yourmodelcars.com.au

I found this site when i purchased a model from ebay. They have a high ebay rating. The Biante and Autoarts are well priced and they are very professional. The photographs of the model cars on this website are excellent.
