Hi all

I decided to re arrange my collection of 1:18 cars, and noticed the Apollo blue XB, red and green XA's front tyres have gone out of round. Basically they have flat spots, will they go back to round if the weight is taken off them? and is there a stand available that will raise the car off the ground ?

Thanks Glenn.

Some people put the screws that you fix the cars into the boxes with into the base of the model and adjust them so they just hold the car off the wheels so they dont get the flat spots.

That is a great idea I might give it a go with mine ...

Only car I can think of that being a problem on is the LH/LX Torana's that I have noticed tend to have alot of "freeplay" in their front suspension. Which would give them a bit of a raised in the front end/engine out look & the wheels tend to have alot of positive camber if you lift the front as well.

Still will defiantly try it on my other 1/18th's :D

You just need to take the weight off the wheels not actually lift them off the display top.

With those Exhaust tabs they still will cause the soter type tyres to deform as the tyre are sitting on them at 1 spot.

One way to do it is like this.
