This is just an idea I thought of, when Alan Simonson was flying in the A1 Australian GT championship round At Eastern Creek in Feburary, his times would give a V8 Supercar a tough time, he broke the Class lap record with a 1m 32.
Perhaps maybe I've found a 3rd Manufacter for V8 Supercars, because Simonsen is lightning in that Ferrari of his.

Are the Ferraris modified extensively or show room racers ?
Imagine the money Ferrari would sink into that to be at the top !

Simonsen's Ferrari is a F430 GT3 Kessel build, you buy the car as it is and run it, Kessel build the cars for you in Europe from a F430 Challenge car, for a hefty price. Then there is the F430 GT which is the GT3 specification car which is meaner and faster again.

Considering that the Ferrari is a good 150hp down and still weighs close to 1300kg with driver in it Simonsen is very impressive. Shame V8 owners chase money not talent but then I rather see him in all the GT cars he drives. Remember he has been very quick in V8SC, was let down by team mate at Bathurst 2006, and Bathurst 2007 they came home 5th.
