Was wondering what the quality of these Sunstar Deloreans are like.If anyone has either the movie car or street car could you let me know.Im thinking along the line that because there so cheap they wont be that crash hot.I have jusy placed an order for one of each.I relise I should have asked this question before I ordered them, but I didnt want to miss out again, they seem to sell out pretty quick.

I just picked up the Sun Star street DeLorean today! Bought it at a toy outlet for US$25.00.
I think it's a very nice replica. Stainless steel finish is nicely replicated by a brushed finish and a dark stain around the wheel openings, much like the real cars. The 'plastic' bumpers are painted, again replicating the real car. Gull wing doors fit flush to the body and open to a fair-to-good interior, a bit too plasticky. Front end opens to the luggage compartment(would this still be called a boot?). Louvers are metal, which surprised me. I'd thought it was plastic. It opens to the opening engine cover which in turn, reveals a good replica of the engine. Front wheels/tires are different diameters from the rears, like the real car. It may lack some fine detailing of the latest Auto Arts and Kyoshos, but it looks damn good displayed next to any of them.
Next, I'll be shopping for the 'BTTF' version.:)

I love the BTTF movie trilogy and have pre ordered the Time Machine De Lorean sight unseen. Have only seen pictures on the net but have seen the road version in the flesh. I intend to make a themed display. The only ones I have seen for sale have been on ebay from the States and postage to NZ is so expensive that I was thrilled that Biante were getting another batch.

G'day all,

I heard that there were going to be 3 versions (I was assuming the film version) of this car.

Does the 3 versions mean from the 3 films or the Gold, Silver & movie version of the car that are shown on the website ?

Any ideas ????
cheers.
