2008 HRT Team Merchandise

With TANDER carrying the Number 1 on his vehicle this year and Skaife Number 2 can anyone tell me why some of the 2008 HRT Team clothing is still carrying the Number 2/22 logo on some items????

Due to the Tander deal being done so late last season and the merch design having to be ticked off earlier in the year mate.

Because the order for the merchandise was placed before the deal for Tander to join the team was done.

I think that is pretty silly(yes I know the deal was done late). I won't buy any new merchandise from them while it is carrying 2/22. I wonder if they will re-do merchandise specially for Bathurst or any other rounds? They must have had some idea that Garth would come on board? Anyway I wonder if it will affect sales?

Guys, it normally takes 12 - 14 weeks from order to shipment of merchandise
- and that's without Olympics, bad weather, power restrictions etc.
So, for them to be available for Adelaide in late Feb, designs would need
to have been signed-off in late October/ early November.

The Tander deal wasn't done until early Dec, way too late to start changing designs.
Yes I agree it's not an ideal situation, but they are hardly going to bin a few hundred
thousand $$ worth of merch and then start again and have nothing until mid year.

I think it must still be used as marketed logo as it is present, albeit small, near the repeaters on the cars!!

yes I noticed that logo too (I think it reappeared at AGP) & wondered why, the merchandise link certainly must be it

Yes it's to link back to the merch. Been on the cars since Adelaide actually.

I have to congradulate HRT on the quality of their shirts, ten times better than the rubbish 2007 quality ones.
