Just looking for some advise,
i just got a PM on an other forum asking the full listing of CC1:18 cars and their respective value.
I normally have no problem sharing my info but for some reason i wanted to find out who the request was coming from.
This chap is relatively a new comber to the forum and has 40 odd post and most of them are about him trying to sell his collection at way overpriced prices.
He has not contributed to many discussions with anything positive.
He also has just joined this forum with no post to date.

what do i do? give him the info or not? I like sharing but not for the wrong reasons???? Am i being to anal???

Not anal at all mate, your the one who's spent many hours of your time finding & putting all that data together so ultimately I believe you can choose what you want to do with it & whom you give it to, if you don't feel happy about it, then don't do it.

Also, what's to stop them going over some of your many, many threads on this topic & finding out that information for themselves ???

What Birchi said. There's no other way to look at it.

Inter, What you do is great (prices and competitions) but asking for a full list and current prices is a bit rude. One or two that may help with a purchase maybe o.k. As stated above maybe this person should have a look first or contact there local stockist.
Better still put a price on your time to put the list together. No doubt they will make money on your hard work.
Keep up the good work. Cheers

I agree with Birchi as well,
inter you have gone over and above to assist people and you obviously enjoy doing this,
however in this case it has made you feel uneasy.
and by saying sorry no what have you to loose,

Hi Inter,

I've been looking at the same thread & the Guy is asking Prices that are well over the top.

If your at all uncomfortable giving this guy YOUR info, then don't.

I find your information useful:)

Hi Inter,

I actually spent last night going through your value post to get a few cars prices myself. I was thinking how useful it was that you were taking the time to reply to some posts. I also could not believe how some people worded the requests to you and thought some were downright rude and requested far too much information without doing any homework themselves.
I'm sure that all who read the thread would agree how helpful it is and I would like to thank you for the time / effort put into it.
At the end of the day if you think this guy is using you don't give him any info. Let him look it up by going through the thread.

Give him the list Ric at $100 under value, might teach him to look before he asks.

Hi Inter, I know the guy your talking about. I have seen his posts.
Look after the one who look after you and forget about the ones that want to use you. You put numerous hours into your record collecting, and this try hard wants to take advantage of you .

Tell him that a good way to find out their value is to wack them all on ebay starting at $0.99. At the end of the listing he will know what they are worth (simple).

Thanks guys,

I have given him limited information relating to his models only. not the full list.
I dont mind giving the full list out as long as i know he is a forum member that contributes for the right reasons. Not someone out there to make a quick dollar
