Most Paid For XY GTHO?

hi all, although i believe the australian muscle car market has come down a little or at least settled, just wondering if anyone knows what the record price ever paid for a genuine XY GT phase 3 is?? i remember hearing a blue one (not sure which blue) sell for i think 1.25 million..anyone else know of some crazy prices?

hmm, that thread is about a white ho that was advertised for 1 mill..not the car i had in mind..also i put this thread here because i thought the other one was for MODEL CARS only:)

2007 was definetly a silly year for muscle car prices and they are definetly coming back to reality at the moment. The highest confirmed price that i can remember being paid for a non-race phase 3 was around 650k which was that Brambles red phase 3 sold at an auction a few years back. From what i was told a bloke from Emerald bought it with help from the bank expecting it to fetch 1mil by the end of the year. How true that is im not sure. Ive never heard of a blue gtho selling for 1.25 mil but if one did that i dont know about, it would have had to been one of them electric blue ones to cause such a high price.

As for unconfirmed sales i remember talk of an unrestored phase 3 that had been in a garage since the 80's with low milage. it was rumored to have changed hands somewhere around 800 - 950k but a price was never actually confirmed.

In regards to other cars selling at crazy prices a mate sold his blue meanie for 125k at the end of last year which i thought was a nice price to sell it at.

thanks for that info mate...yeh i think the blue one was an electric blue but not too sure..wow that phase 3 in the shed looks beautiful..delete stripe option:):)
