View Full Version : Holden driver becomes lastest bushfire victim
I just saw on 10 news that Holden legend Larry Perkins Cowangie property has been destoyed.
The house his father and he grew up in has burnt to the ground.
It's the worst fires Victoria has seen since ash wednesday.
Lucky Larry moved his tracters from Cowangie to his other Marabon plane hanger.

Yes just also seen the very sad news in regards to Larry's property loss, our very heartfelt sympathy's go out to Larry and family in such a tragic loss,, It does'nt bear thinking what Larry has lost in this fire, we have been watching on tv all these fires wreak their havoc in NSW, WA and now Vic,, and it is then that we should consider ourselves very fortunate and appreciate what we have got, it also brings home how important property insurance is, it does'nt take much to loose everything you have.
Hopefully over what is left of summer that we will not see anymore fires like those we have seen last year and again this year, mainly through the stupidity of thoughtless idiots..
Wishing all a very safe & Merry Xmas & New Year.

As a volunteer firey with the C.F.A i hope you are right , but unfortunately with the drought, and tinder dry conditions i think its a sign of things to come. But we are better equipped now than back in '83 with the tragic ash wednesday fires.
I can assure you that it is a very sad moment when life or property is lost in a fire.
Cheers.

Robert Di Castello and all the other unfortunate people that thought that they were safe in off all cities Canberra
What's next and what can be done about this in real terms?
It seems to be getting worse and worse in the eastern states with these sorts of natural dissasters.
