Looking forward to this....only 2 days to go!

Thought I'd start a thread on this to go with all the other Off Topic sporting related threads.

There's nothing like being an arm-chair athletics supporter for 2 weeks every 4 years.

cheeky bugger. We seem to be in the hunt for rowing medals but who knows. One of the great ironies is that most team uniforms have been shipped from hina to their respective destinatilons only to come back again.

If they have BMX, they should have model car collecting, then we can all win a medal! Who has the largest collection? :) Actually, the worlds largest model collection belongs to a guy from the middle east(I think). To date, he has spent over 1 million dollars on his model cars. He definately had over 10,000 diecasts. I don't think any of us have a collection worth that much.

If BMX can get in with so many other sports that are only watched every four years, why can't we have motor racing in it? I mean isnt cricket 20/20 part of London 2012?

Something like A1 GP with all countries putting in their best drivers - now that is something I would watch!

Im sick of everytime you turn the olympics on all you get to see is "Australias Golden Girls".

That's an interesting situation, considering without the help of the whole team they may not have made the race!

Perhaps cycling should follow swimming lead where as I understand it (meaning this may have changed or I am wrong), in the relays when such happens all members that swam in the team get a medal, but only those who swam in the final get to stand on the dais.
