This was brought up in another thread by Richard and I think it needs its own thread.
Motorsport Complex's forced to close after re zoning by the WA Planning Commission which equals this state government!!!

Unfortunatly this is old news, people over here have known what was going for a number of years, nothing seems to be getting done to secure a new site(unless someone can prove me wrong),the govt even wants to shut motor plex but ANDRA has a 99 year lease,so I have been told.
If liberals get in this w/end they may start a street circuit up in Perth for the V8s.??????
There was talk that the old dizzylamb park land further north on wanneroo road was being looked at for a motorsport track.
It's a shame that it always comes to this, the wanneroo kart track is one of the best in WA and is an awesome layout. It holds big events aswell. Tiger kart club is the biggest club in WA and i suppose the only thing for them is that they have another track (cockburn)

There is too much residential around Dizzy Lamb and alot of area further north is earmarked for development,I dont believe as yet any thing has been put aside for a new track.:(

Our roads arent even fit for personal use, let alone for racing.
We're always going to be fighting in regards to motorsport with our current narrowminded government, maybe tomorrow some things will change, who knows.
Reason i say this, i know for a fact that a large company was looking to build australias largest motorsport precinct in Perth, had all the plans and what not and they hit a brick wall with the WA government who were just not interested, this is now what is known as IMETT and will be found in Queensland.
Hard being a motorsport fan in WA i must say.

You still have a chance with bunbury but the title of the land will not be handed over. This is all that is holding up this project!
A new circuit with international events waiting and the government departments hold it up!!!!! What does that say.

Barbagallo could be left alone in this case,
as it on two sides is surrounded by a pine forrest that is and has been stripped of its trees due to the so called impact on the water table.
sure the powers too be may say you can't build over this land as this also impacts on the water table.
however shifting this site a few meters in either direction could see Barbagallo and associated karting and scramble bike facilities left intact.
as this area could be tagged Heavy industrial due to the construction of these power stations.
on the how to vote cards at the election today they have missed adding a crucial square on the bottom to tick or cross
and that square should be marked
None of the above []
wonder how many would use this in an election?
PS to all those in Perth i have heard that Caversham historics is on again this sunday / tomorrow
In regards to the bunbury track, i can't see that ever being used for licenced competition racing as it's not a CAMS approved track, it was built and they then went for approval. Go figure.

I generally don't get too caught up in this stuff to do with whichever parasites, I mean politicians, are running the joint....but I do get a tiny whiff of 'perchance things may be looking a trifle better under a Liberal type government than the other clowns' ??? But then again it still comes back down to the fact that history shows they are generally all full of brown sticky stuff !! :D Time will tell......zzzzzzzz.
