hi all, when you are given item tracking numbers with registered post, where do you enter them so you can check the status of these items? Items have been sent registered post from NSW and i have tracking numbers but dont know where to enter them..

Hi Chris
I think you can only track express post packages. As for registered you may have to go to an Aussie post shop, I think they can check for you.

Chris,

If you have a problem with your item getting lost in the Aust. Post system, pm me and i'll give you the details of a very helpful bloke in their customer service section.
He has helped me out in the past when i had a model go missing.

Cheers

Mike

www.ausposttracking.com.au (http://www.ausposttracking.com.au) - it only shows up though the morning of it being delivered, once your local postal guy has it in his van. So you can check it every morning at 6-7am to know if its worth camping out all day or not. It also tells you if its been delivered, but taken up to the post office, incase you cant find a red slip.

Ok, no worries. I thought you may have been having some issues with a delivery.

I'm pretty sure from memory there is very little tracking with registered post!! I've had items go missing before through registered post because the first register point is the destination post office. If it goes missing prior to then they have no idea where it is!!

I have used registered post plenty of times. The only good thing about it is that it gives the seller proof that they posted it + the item is insured for $100. From my experience, thay can't track it until the recipient has signed for it.
Chris, ring this number 131318 and follow the prompts and speak with one of their staff and give them your tracking number and see what they tell you.
Hope this helps :)
