MV Agusta motorcycle legend Giacomo Agostini is set to be the star attraction at the Australian Motorcycle News 10th annual Island Classic at Victoria's Phillip Island circuit from January 24-26.

Agostini, who won seven of his eight 500cc world championship titles riding for the Italian manufacturer, previously participated in the event at Phillip Island in 1999.

He will be accompanied to Phillip Island by a selection of MV Agusta motorcycles from the private collection of Agostini racing machines held by Ubaldi Elli in Milan, Italy. Elli will also attend the Island Classic.

I am old enough to have seen G. Agostino on board the fabeled M.V. Augusta's both in Assen and in Francochamps (on the old Circuit) at full cry, these machines are insane and VERY addictive
other pilots were i.e. Phil Reed, Lansivuori, Bonera.
These pieces of jewelery Howl like you never heard it before very melodical the Honda's were raw sounded but the M.V's were like an opera singer I get all itchy thinking about it and do have a soundtrack of them ,it's gotta go on!!:D

I rather buy a M.V. Augusta 750 America with the special aftermarket pipes on it and join Giacomo in giving the public a serenade they will not forget:D
