Greetings all -

Well, I've spent a few hours reading through the last 60 days of posts to get a feel for the forum.

A number of posts discuss the wide range in pricing, stating that such-and-such a model going for $x at this store is available at some other store for a much better price.

As I am in the U.S., I'm pretty much stuck paying prices commanded by outlets with websites. My luck in the buy/sell forum has been, for the most part, uneventful.

I did find a thread with a listing of stores in Victoria, but I wondered if anyone knew of stores off the well-beaten internet track that would post internationally.

I've signed up with the phone company to get decent per-minute rates to OZ, so calling these stores is no problem.

I appreciate any and all recommendations.

Thanks and regards,

BC

Hi there,

The Biante web-site is hard to beat if you are a collector outside Australia.

They provide excellent service (usually about one week delivery time to NZ, probably a bit longer to the US), have a really good on-line secure ordering system, and are a pleasure to deal with. You also do not have to pay Australian GST (10%), which is automatically deducted when you order an item.

If you are after the 'hot' Biante items, you usually have to be fairly quick, but most items seem to come up about 2-3 times. If you join the Collectors Club you will receive a weekly newsletter advising of up-coming models along with their release times. The rest is up to you...

Biante also import other great models into Australia, like AutoArt, MiniChamps etc, and these are readily available through the web site.

Regards, from sunny New Zealand.

Believe me, I'll use Biante's site for the newer releases. I'm already signed up for the newsletter, so it'll be a middle-of-the-night purchase for the new Monaro.

It certainly didn't take me long to get the itch.
