Greetings all -

Are the only differences between the Palais White and Flamenco Red A9Xs the colour and the price?

Just wondered if I should spend lots of time and money tracking down a Palais White if it is pretty much like the Red I just ordered.

Being in the U.S., I have absolutely no way to see these cars in person.

Thanks !

not being a Holden person but

If we're talking about the A9X/SLR500 differences

1, The white has TWO doors (Hatchback), the red FOUR (sedan)
2. The white is a A9X, the red is a SLR 5000
3. The wheel rims are different
4. The red doesn't have a bonnet scoop.
5. The wheel arch flares are different

but i assume you're talking about the same A9X model in the three colour schemes thats been released.

Thanks for the info, Brathurstfan.

Yep. I was aware of the SLR 5000/A9X differences. I just wondered about the the A9X red -vs- white differences.

Never knew white was so popular.

Goodaye zeitgeist,
the only difference between the red and white A9X is just that, one is red and the other is white. Identical in all other aspects. I have both and they both look excellent.

The White A9X is a Biante Classic, and comes in a White Display Box.
The Red A9X is from Autoart, and comes in a Black display Box.

I think the Biante car has the better finish. Why is it worth more ?It looks Better in White. The Contrast to the trim is set off nicely by the White color.
The other example is the White GTHO Ford single mirror ,which has also increased in value ,above that of the other Colors in the GTHO range.

The Red A9X wins on Value for money.and is still a great looking model.

I was in a model shop before Christmas and they had a white A9X that had been converted (poorly) into the Brock HDT A9X complete with Marlboro decals. I wonder how may other white A9X's have similarly been converted and if this makes them more desireable and harder to find ?

Yep just the colour and the price.

White is more popular because is was the First and by that standard is obviously one of the reasons why it's more popular.

Also in real life it was to. 29 to be exact and 15 for the Red, also Jasmine Yellow came in equal second.

For the Four-Door Fans: Flamenco Red hit 82 and Palais White 61 were made.

I hope that BC from Columbus, Ohio is not too confused by the response to his/her enquiry.

Apart from the one red standard specification LX SLR5000 sedan, Biante have released three model versions of the LX A9X Option in 1:18 scale:

The Palais White 2 door SS hatchback was released around about August 2001, and about one year later was followed by the Flamenco Red 2 door SS hatchback and the Ultra Blue 4 door SLR5000 version.

All were built as certificated lots of 5000 units, and as stated by others, the commonly accepted reason for the difference in open market prices is that the initial release version of a multiple range model tend to attract a higher collector value.
