Just ducked to another forum and a member stated there that AUTO ART are to release the 2001 and 2002 Peugeot 206 WRC 2 off each in 1/18 around February this year!
If true this is great news as so far I have the 3 different SOLIDO 1/18 models of the above car 1999 2place San Remo (white and blue) the 2000 san Remo Gronholm (silver) and the 2001 RACC D. Auriol (silver and Total RED) a Auto Art edition will challence the Solido quality for sure (no Magnifier needed nor Microscope):p

Yup, looks like four Peugeot's and two Mitsubishis. But I want a 2002 Focus... :(

That is good news. I have been holding off those Solido models as they are not really up to the AutoArt standard. Any mention of which rallies AutoArt will be doing?.

I'd also like to see an AutoArt 2002 Focus in 1:18, especially a Monte Carlo version. I think that paint job is the best the Focus has run with.

Apart from the Makkinen Subaru, Autoart haven't released much in the way of rally cars lately.

I guess you know there is suppose to be both a short-wheel-base and long-wheel-base Audi Quattro rally-car coming. Both of these models are eagerly anticipated from a fan who saw both cars racing here in New Zealand in the 80's.

All of the new Autoart models are currently being updated onto the website and include (amongst others) the BMW M3 CSL, Jagermeister and Original Tiele BMW 635 CSI Group A touring car, Dodge Viper SRT-10, and several new rally cars(all 1:18).

I think the Diecast gods have been listening to my prayers...a Rally NZ Peugeot AND a 2002 Monte Carlo Focus!

Just need a Possum Subaru for the hat-trick.

Unfortunately, I can't see any Audi Quattros on the latest AutoArt listings. Hopefully they are still coming.

-Pille-, looks like you may have to wait for the 2003 Focus models to get that Markko Martin one. I see on the WorldRallyNews site that the new Focus is due to make its debut here in NZ.

Also, don't the 2003 Peugeot's look great in their new red and white Malboro paint scheme.

Oh well... Yes, it looks like AutoArt won't be making the 2002 Focus of Martin. Quess I'm going to have to settle for 1/43 cars for now, but I'd really like one in 1/18 scale.

Still hoping... :)

Auto Art has been making the earlierFORD FOCUS WRCarmodels before.
The model and the shape has not changed only the decals and that seems to be not a problem at all!
If there are licencing problems than that could explain it.
other than that it would most problably be the chaepest new model of the lot.
I do have the (I think) 2000 or 2001 Focus together with the Lancia Delta Intergrale Evo II and the Lancia 037 all sponsored by Martini racing and with it hangs a driverssuit of C. Mcrae with a team Martini racing hat of the Intergrale vintage. Very enjoyable indeed. The Peugeots are above it with the Lancia Stratos,Citroen and a cluster of The almighty SUBARU's:D

I was wondering: if they are making 2002 models of Sainz and McRae, then why can't they also make one of Martin? He drove the Martini-colored car in the first six races of the year and only switched to the dark blue car after that. It would be so easy for AutoArt to just put a different number and names on the car.

Or am I wrong?

Hi Pille,
Depends on the License and also the saleability.
Anyway, I will ask the question for you.

Ferrari Fan,

Is that a real 1:1 McRae driving suit?

If it is, I am impressed....much better than a dented DJR door!

Yers it is. Being a scrutineer helps.
Your doorpanel is just as special and there is only one of them! :)

I envy you guys - both the door and the driving suit are a great addition to any collection. This kind of stuff is really hard to get, it's not like you can just go out and buy one.

The only similar thing I have is a piece of broken wood and a bolt from a rally truck bed...

I wouldn't want to miss out of my solido models as it makes for a more complete series. By the way I managed to score a genuine Peugeot dressshirt of 2001 and some t's from the team.
This is now history as they are running in the Marlbore sponsorship colours of red and white.
