To help raise funds for the Brock Foundation to allow them to continue their great work I am planning a special 4 hour endurance go kart race so if you're in Perth, Western Australia and are interested in a night of racing to help a worth while charity get a team together, reserve your kart, and join in.

For a taste of what you're in for follow the below link:

http://www.wannerookarthire.com.au/

The karts run twin Honda 200cc 4 stroke engines and the track used is the full 1025m Wanneroo International circuit. Lap times are generally around the 1 minute mark so with an average of 60kph they are quite exciting to drive, especially towards the end of a long stint under lights!

Date: Saturday 7th of March.
Time: Arrive at 5pm for sign in, gear up, briefing, practice and qualifying. Race start around 7pm. Finish at 11pm.
Venue: Wanneroo Kart Hire. 1 Wattle Ave East, Neerabup, Western Australia (On the corner of the road leading into Barbagallo Raceway)
Cost: $600.00 per kart.
Driver requirements: Minimum of two drivers per kart. Drivers must be 21 years old or over and hold a valid drivers license.

The guys at Wanneroo Kart Hire have agreed to donate back part proceeds of the entry fee to the foundation. There will also be prizes on offer which will be confirmed on the night.

Get a team together to spread the cost. It could be a forum team or mates from work. It's a great night out.

There is a maximum of 16 karts available and they are filling fast so PM me if you are interested. A $100 deposit will be needed to confirm your entry.

Are you going Laz?

Needs some Green sponsorship money. I would drive for beer money & plane fare. I may need some elastic darts put in the sides of my race suit though.

If i could find a keen co pilot id be keen.... Prokart is heaps of fun :D You want to join me Mark? ;) We could be Malaz Racing :p

On a side note, Round 1 of the Australian Prokart Champs @ Oran Park feb 7 has 39 entries, i hear another is a late entry so that'll be a capacity grid :D

Unfortunately I have had to cancel the race due to a lack of starters. I had 18 karts to fill with 11 teams confirmed just through word of mouth before promoting it anywhere but when it came time to stump up the cash everyone pulled out.

Disappointing as I was expecting to fill all karts going by prior interest.
