AFL Dreamteam Comp 09

[Oh Five]

As there are a couple of members here who follow AFL , the Dreamteam comp is on again this year and if any of you wish to participate (its free) i would be happy to organize our "Biante entry".
Some have their own comps, but you can enter 3 different leagues with your same team.
Its a good way to be involved all season.

Bewdy, the more the merrier.
This is the link to the dreamteam, it looks complicated but is very easy. Once you are set up, it pretty well runs its own course. It is very popular Australia wide. If you want it explained in laymens terms, just let me know:)
Hopefully we can get at least 10 for the private tipping comp, that would be worthwhile.
We can discuss prize/conditions later.

Guys, just letting you know i made a boo boo, The comp i have enrolled in is through the Herald-Sun "supercoach". From what i can see its exactly the same comp, just that the dreamteam is run through the AFL. The supercoach is what i was in last year.
Anybody who has access to the paper, details are in todays edition, or go to the Herald-sun website. The comp is ran Aus wide so it shouldnt be a drama.
If any of you have a friend or relly who would like to play they are more than welcome, just PM the email.
Teams can be picked from now to start of season, so lets go:)

Supertipping is full.
For those of you who are playing and havent played before, when you log on there are 2 tipping pages. One is for the standard pick 8, the other is for weighted tipping which is based on the odds for each team.

Supercoach has one spot left, although if no one fills it i will put Kevin Sheedy in there.

Dreamteam has 2 spots but just waiting on a member to reply if he is playing.

Yes it can get pretty daunting trying to squeeze in the good players. I have tried to get the best players in the midfield and centre. I have mainly rookies and middle of the road defenders, i dont know how it will go, but thats the fun of it:)

Just a reminder that the "Weighted Tipping" tips have to be submitted 2 hours before the first game (Thursday) but the normal tipping can be done right up to game start.

Put in a 'rough' team in each a few days back but, like seemingly everyone else, was waiting until this round's team lists were released before finalising - I had a one hour window from when I got home from work until the lockout and I think I managed to get into supercoach twice and dreamteam once in all that time....more often than not I couldn't get in and when I did it didn't want to play... I knew the changes I wanted to make but couldn't get in to make them :mad:

looks like Cousins will be out for 4 - 6 weeks. I was gunna pick him but this (hammy) is the reason i didnt. 18 months out of the game and the pace of it these days isnt a good combination. I hope he does come back and sees the year out though

Guys there is a game on Thursday night, the same day/evening that the teams get released, so i am guessing there will be a peak hour jam again:mad: Might pay to put your tips in a bit earlier, weighted tipping has to be done 2 hours BEFORE the game, the other tipping up to the start of each game.:)

Gee won so i get 1.37 points
If coll had won and i picked them, i would have got 3.15 points.
It basically rewards you to pick the darkhorse...ok??:)

Your not the only one struggling Darren. I started off on herald sun scoring around the 2000 mark before going down hill with around 1600 the last two weeks and heaps of my players not playing. And now that Hodge is in doubt, it'll make it even worse.
Ah well, this is my first year of dreamteam and supercoach, so I guess I can only get better.:)
