So what the he** do I search for now , thankfully our hosts keep plenty of shiny new cars for me to collect but theres nothing like the thrill of the chase for the elusive missing piece to fill that gap in the cabinet.
What is the one piece anyone else needs for that little reserved car park slot :)` ?
Cheers

I am glad that you finaly got your Benetton B193 1/18, do you have the sistercar as well?Nordica Patrese #6? these make an exelent pair and a knowledgeable collector will appreciate it every time as these as a pair are not often seen.
Are you missing any in the Scumy collection or is it complete.
Great to know that there are some more likeminded collectors here in AUS

A Track Red and Ultra White XY GTHO would help get my Biante road car collection up to date. Hopefully one day I can afford the high prices.

i need 11 to make up in my Ford collection but the one i want the most is the White GTHO (twin Mirorr).
Need a bank loan for that one:D
Got 3 gaps left in my "Aussies overseas" 1/43 case.
Maybe fill them with 2 David Brabham Panoz's and Simtek F1 car.

Ferrari Fan ,
I have reserved parking spaces for a 310/2 and a 310B to finish off the line up ,then I will be chasing variants like the long and short rear wing 310b etc.
I have been thinking that I would kill two birds with one stone and get the larger (1/10 or 1/12 i can never remember) 310/2 when I find one at a good price as both it and the 1/18 310/2 seem to be fairly close in price anyway and you get a lot more metal for yoyur money .
I will also track down a Patrese B193 now, a pair sounds like somthing that would look very nice , perhaps I should get the teamamtes for all my Shumi cars ;) I am sure my wife won't mind ;)
Cheers

Wow, some lucky lucky ppl out there, needing only a couple of cars to complete their collections!
i need 16 11 of which are subaru wrc's. with 3 more prodrive 02 to be released that brings the number up to 19! why? with moving on campus for 2nd yr uni i have to cut back! no more models to be added to my list, until i catch up
!!!!!!!!!!
by the way, lachlan, i found my 99 with light pod at the brisbane motor show last yr! perhaps u might ave some luck at one of the many shows across the country?!
Having the 2001 bathurst twin pack in the mail helps ease the pain though! :)

Real OZ not being silly but I do have two models spare and that is a 310/2 Schumi 1/12 and a 310b 1/18 Irvine both Minichamps
the 1/12 is the raced version of the Itaien GP and the irvine is the raceversion ,both are new and not displayed before.
I do have enough models as to not have also doubles so I am willing to let these go. either sell or trade.

Action 1:18 Montoya Indy 500 winner (IRL).
Action 1:18 Montoya Champ Car champion.
Minichamps 1:18 Senna Penske Test car.
I would love to get the Montoya Indy 500 winner as well. I'm lucky enough to have the Montoya championship winner and must admit I like it a lot, even though it doesn't fit into a particular theme.
My holy grail at the moment would probably be an exoto Mansell car with an accurate rear wing.
Seriously though, it would probably be the Senna JPS liveried first win Lotus. But that's just at the moment. As I aquire my holy grail it changes all the time! :D

The holy grail in the 1/12 M/C Minichamps series could be the 2000 Honda NSR.
The champion that year was Roberts Jnr.
Hence I did not get it.

Actually, the Hakkinen MP 4/12 Hakkinen test car in orange is a car I would dearly love to have as well.
Hopefully when I sell my 1:12 Corser and Bayliss 2000 bikes I might be able to knock a few more holy grails off my list!

I had the Montoya indy winner, sold it a few months back after downsizing, didnt seem too much demand for this model on ebay, struggled to seel for what i paid. Thought it would do well as it was hard to get when initially released.
It doesnt have the speedway setup so was a little disappointing, had all the road course wings so wasnt near correct. Not a bad model though. Still love the Andretti '99 Champ car, easily the best one in my collection. My Greg Moore conversion looks great too.

Did any one get the Ganasi Team Target 1/43rd Tin?

Ill havent got any pics here at work but will post some for you.
Its actually a Carpentier car that was converted to the number 99, if you have the genuine Greg Moore ones i would touch them as they should be worth more than the conversions.
It looks much better in the Players decals than the Forsythe ones though.
Nivola

that is the one thing i will never do!
I like seeing models with the decal replacements but my will always stay original! I ve never decaled any car.

I will probably convert my Moore car regardless; the main reason being that the car didn't run with Forsythe- in Surfers i've found pics showing it ran with plain Players livery and thats how i'd like the car to look- as raced.

Good pick up!! Well done on that score! :)
As an aside, I'm curious as to whether they count as $400 each when you allocate the sales values for your record keeping, or do you 'weight' them somehow?
