Can't see the Sandown 500 winner being too popular as there's still a million bathurst winner's around.

Must mean with those white wheels. Have to be some away though wouldn't it?

Ah k. That makes sense. I wish biante had made that first! I would have preferred that one over the silver wheels. Don't think I can justify having both

If this is true, I hope they only make 1500 or so as like everyones said, theres over 20 84 VK's out there from both brands already.
I can't see to many people buying it when the more significant Bathurst winner is worth half the priceof a new release.

Cant believe I'm partly to blame for this as I stuck a post up on another thread with all the Sandown Winners most of which over time I'd like (over time) & this is what they've announced...

Unfortunately I'm like George Costanza with this model, "I'm just not getting that nose"

The fact that there are thousands of VK's stitting around in stock means little at the moment. There is a second clean skin RX7 announced and they havn't even released the first one. How the hell would I know if I want my 4th & 5th RX7 when I have not seen my first, let alone paid for it?

I would fully expect significantly less of the White Wheel version to be produced - between 1 and 2 thousand at an educated guess.

That said, it was an option available on the VK GP-A, and it was the wheels that Brock wanted the car to be released with. So, significant car? Perhaps, limited edition? At between 1 & 2 K, yes.

I think they call it cashing in on a hot item!

For mine, I think the timing is the critical factor in this one. It seems that the original release is still rather popular & being such a cult car for Holden/Brock fans perhaps this has motivated the new release. To many they may pass if they already one of the other releases & it's certainly a tricky one. Maybe it's because it's being done so close to the 1st release which his got people wondering......Would we be saying the same thing if it was 5 years later ???

To me, I see this release as being no different to when we've seen an ATCC & Bathurst (or similar) race of the same car from the same year. Like those there are bugger all changes, just like this, except this is a road car.

Whether this is a good analogy or not, I'm not 100% sure but I just hope it doesn't become the norm with road cars, as I fear they could end up like all those diecast BA's Falcon's.

Not sure if I agree with a second run of the VK Group A. Makes a bit of a joke of the "limited edition" claim.

I think its more than a joke, my certificate reads: This is to certify that this model of the Holden VK Commodore SS group A in Formula Blue is one of 8202 produced in 1:18 scale.

The white wheel was just an option for this car, so that means that Biante can now reproduce any of there so called LIMITED edition cars, just buy producing the same car with an option, and calling it "White wheel option" or "air condition version" "duel exhaust option".

When I bought my VK I thought there was only ever going to be 8202, but looks like they are going to milk every last cent out of the Brocks, I herd this on the grape vine awhile ago but I thought they would come to there senses, but it seams not!

I personally think the days of having something a bit special and maybe a bit scarce are well and truly gone!!!!!!!!

I will be scaling down from now on, maybe its for the best, it was costing me a fortune.

If we're referring to the 1984 VK (race car), it can't really be converted to 1983 spec as that was VH, which has changes to sheet metal & glass particularly around rear side windows.

Classic are making the 1983 VH that could then be converted to the 1983 and 1984 ATCC cars.

You should work for the model manufacturers as they always try to reuse the wrong moulds

A lot more different than just those items...VH didn't have the fourth "side" window, had a different bonnet etc etc
