Just picked up my HG GTS 1:18 and noticed to my disliking it has overriders.

I have never been too keen on over-riders on muscle cars (except for the XW/XY GTHO's) and would like to know who else out there feels the same way?

Maybe there should be a POLL on this subject?

Who cares just enjoy the model and stop picking the S**T out of them

Bumper over-riders were a dealer fitted option on all Monaros. The LE had overriders standard.

I love them, i think they are one of the only optional extras my HK 327 will have when complete.

Your absolutly right LUMPYDOG,
but the next time Biante make a model that your really passionate about with over-riders,sun visors, mud flaps and other dealer fitted stuf, we will see who cares!

I just feel that the collectors should have a say (eg thats what this FORUM caters for) in regards to what they prefer.....that's all.

Id prefer the models came out dead stock standard: no optional extras (rear seat belts on the HT, bumper overriders on HG). And, i certainly dont like aftermarket accessories being modelled (the tow ball crossmember setup under the HT). Id love to see the response from the GT purists if they scored a tow ball like we did...

Does the HG have the towball as well (ive got two on laybuy anyway, one for work, and one for home).

Collectors do have a BIG say in all the models.
You and every body else can vote with their wallet!
I hope that this is getting through ,nice and clear!

Do we get a discount if we ask Biante to remove the optional extras?;)

There's a very old saying in business, There's no such thing as bad feedback. Any business that's worth it's salt, knows that bad feedback or complaints are like gold. Especially in Australia, where for the most part, people generally do not like to complain, they just simply go elsewhere. Therefore Biante have the wonderfully unique situation of having this forum, where they can get feedback direct from their customers. A lot of businesses would kill to have this same setup.

I said before extras at no extra cost.
Just wondering looking at XA Coupe's picture it only has One Side mirror. Looking through a couple of Ford books I discovered that some Coupes have the extra mirror and some don't. John Goss's XA GT Sedan does, but none of the Race cars do.
The burning question is: Was this an optional extra on the XA GTs?

I'm with Texan,

Bad feedback is like gold, after all that is what this Forum is all about for Biante. Listening to the market on their likes/dislikes etc... and trying their best to satisfy all of us.

I have left negative feedback on models before, but I still purchase them and enjoy them immensely. All I am doing is pointing out things that could be improved thus helping Biante develop the best quality in scale model replicas for the future. If you don't speak up and ask for quality then you will not get it. Obviously people do care about precision otherwise they wouldn't be leaving negative feedback. Most things are such very minute technical issues it's almost trivial. Often it's not Biante's fault but the actual vehicle being modeled off. But to Biante it's one great big lesson in what their collectors want and what is required to be the best.

If you don't like reading the negative feedback people leave then simply don't read it! No one is forcing you to.

There's feedback and there's "LOOK AT ME. I FOUND ALL THESE THINGS WRONG. I'M A HERO. I'LL TELL ALL MY MATES"

How you word your response/criticism makes all the difference.

Say it pleasantly and constructively, people listen, blurt it out and people take offence.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, anymosity on the web is a wonderful thing, for heroes.

wacpt,

Is blurting it out TYPING IN LARGE TEXT, you seem to have that down pat.

Feedback is feed back, its not negative unless its derogatory and we all know what happens when you write something bad "FF to the rescue".

Being able to discuss the models and leave comments is what this forum is for, if Biante were offended do you think this forum would have lasted this long, and when they read something they don't like they either respond or delete it (its their choice). At least it means that it has been read.

The products are good but they are not perfect, and this is the place for those who know (or feel they know to voice there opinon).

Those who feel Biante is perfect and nothing more can be done sit back and enjoy your collection and leave those who choose to write alone without your Biante is god replies.

This thread has lost it.

If say 5 out of 600 forum members criticise a car. thats less than 1%

If only a couple out of 6000 buyers complain that does not sound like constructive criticism, but people who are just very hard to please.

"If say 5 out of 600 forum members criticise a car. thats less than 1% "

Yep, that sounds like a fair statistic, but this would be more like it:

Only 50 regular posters out of 600 members. 5 complain, makes 10%.

Aussiecollector.
You obviously missed my point. After reading how some of our outspoken collectors say things like
"This is wrong, that is wrong etc, etc", would you call that constructive. Every one of them is an expert????? What I was saying is maybe they should think about how they're going to write these things before they do. No one is perfect and no model is perfect, but maybe there is a reason a particular feature of the model was done how it was.
Would you listen to someone who just came out and said "you're car's wrong because ........." or would you listen to someone who says " I notice your car has ..........., I thought they had .......". As an owner of a computer business, I'm always open to discussion, but people who just start talking before engaging the brain, I don't have time for. They can talk all they like, but whether I listen or not is another matter.

And if anyone says anything nice about Biante you come along with some sort of "Stop sucking up" or "Do you get royalties for saying that" comment. Nobody likes a brown noser but people dislike a whinger more.

I don't know what you do but I do know you have customers (as you constantly mention which is funny besause I have them too) if your customers acted like this or behaved towards you the way you do towards Biante and other members on this forum then I think you have a problem. But, then again, they probably have some RESPECT!The age old saying of "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar" is still true.

Views are fine and they are what makes this type of place great but they are also it's downfall.

Sounds like a chapter from "How to Win Friends and Influence People".

I do agree with WACPT, there are methods of saying things the right way for example: Would you say to your wife "you look fat in that dress" or "That dress doesn't compliment your figure"?

However, Biante are big boys and I am sure they don't give a hoot if someone not well versed with words wants to be HERO and blurt out their views.

I am sure they just sit back and say to themselves "What a W@#ker!" and leave it at that.

After all, if someone happens to say something even slightly out of place on this forum, I'm sure all the other HERO's will crucify them for it.

Now why don't we all get back to the real purpose of this Forum and talk about Diecast Model Cars :)
