I used to be a Trax collector until I discovered the excellent models Biante make. But I do still get the brochures sent to me from Trax and occasionally if they make a model that Biante is not or hasn't made I will buy one. I noticed in a recent brochure that Trax produced a Monaro with a glovebox that opens and windows that actually wind up and down. (At no apparent extra cost), but the rest of the detail was crap. Now don't get me wrong......I LOVE my Biante models and they are in my opinion the BEST on the market. It will take a damn good maker for me to change from Biante. I am very happy with the excellent detail on them so far and will keep collecting them. I also know that the cars aren't really toys and should stay either in the box or in a display cabinet, but it would be nice if the cars we love to collect were not only the best, but had the most detail as well!!!!
PS: This is not a criticism of Biante. I LOVE the models I have collected and I can't wait for them to make more!!!!

I'm not interested if the windows wind up or if the glovebox opens. It's not like you can put your rego papers in there anyway!!! They are fine the way they are, although a working stereo sysytem would be nice for those car show sound offs!!! LOL :D

How about a sound chip embedded somewhere in the model engine so you can hear that V8 hum....:)

i havent got the latest trax catalogue yet but isnt the car with the opening glove box andwindows a charger?or have they made a monaro that does it too now? also you can only put the windows half way down and i think the working parts affect the detail. if you have a look at the window frame it looks out of proportion because it needs to fit in the window movement. and the window would get scratched a little every time you put the window up or down. also the glove box would have the same problem as with the clubbie sun visors, eventually the clips wear and then dont hold it up so you would have the glove box constantly open and how real would that look?
i like my Biantes just the way they are but if they add extras without affecting the etail then that would be great too but im happy with them at the moment.

The stereo would be remote control of course!!! You could also have a PS2 and tv screen for when you get bored just looking at them!!!

Sounds like they captured my '88 Accord pretty well.

Speaking of motor sound, I have a 57 Chev model here that has full illumination and a rumbling V8 that shakes slightly......pretty cool little novelty.

Chups,
It's just the Charger with before said features. Their Monaro's are stock standard from the originals.
In the end I say it's a novellty idea to increase sales. Just keep the high detail up and the originality ie: If you open the bonnet what you see in a model is what you see on a real car.
Don't Bore it, Just Big Block it...
