Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong but Biante is Biante and is the Australian distributor for AutoArt (seperate producer) and many more model making firms. Classic Carlectables are another company altogether.

Yes,Autoart is a large German model company and Biante are a separate Australian company who are the Aus importers for Autoart.
Autoart's parent company is Gateway Europe GmbH it was founded in 1998 and they make an estimated 1,000,000 models a year for different brands as well. They also employ 3,500 people in Guangdong in south-east China. The company headquarters are in Aachen Germany.

So I wonder who makes the BF models for CC.? Fair dinkum i read on another forum that CC was having QC issues especially with the new frosty cobra so i went to my supplier today to have a look for myself and i tell you he was right. Of 18 cars 4 weren't too bad 2 good and the rest had all different issues even a hand brushed feul filler that wasn't even the correct shade of white. It's the first time i've actually looked at a model that i wanted and questioned whether it was actually worth buying. Hope Biante doesn't use the same company..
Is it correct though that Biante is now owned by a German or Euro Company?

I think Biante was bought out by an Australian based textiles firm a few years back.

The question has already been answered I believe. Biante import Autoart as well as having a manufacturing deal with them. Classic Carlectables are a totally seperate company (like Holden and Ford).
Biante is owned by a Sydney based company who handle sewing and craft related products.

Hello,
Biante is owned by a company called J Leutenegger Pty LTD, which was established in 1891 - so over 110 years old.
J Leutenegger is own by a small to medium private equity style business call HGL Ltd which you can find listed on the Stock Exchange.
HGL owns about 13 different import and distrubtion business.
As Richard has explained, we are the Australian distrubtor for Autoart products, as well has having an agreement where they also manufacture many of our Australian cars as well.
We have nothing to do with Classics, totally seperate, but we do use some similar factories to have our cars made as well. So we will be keeping a check on the QC of our cars very closely.
Anything else, please just ask.

I've never been to AA's offices in Aachen but Minichamps is spectacular. There's images of the museum on the Minichamps website.

The bottom part is what I ment, thank you for replying and not trying to hide this info from the collectors.
As you are well aware classics have had a lot of QC issues of recent times and it looks like biante are going the other way, that is good to here.

And there I was a couple of months back getting shot down for mentioning poor QC on CC's latest cars. Please tell me the Brock VL's are not going to be made at the same plant that CC uses.
