Hi, welcome to the forum
on the ba/bf's for front bar removal you first have to remove the black plastic undercarriage splitter? that sits under the bar. Its glued primarily at the front. If you run a blunt knife under it and gently pry it off you should be able to get it off easily enough. It may crack however, but being under the car, you're not going to notice
2. between the wheels and the front bar you can see a small screw (you'll need a philips head - something simliar to screwdrivers used for glasses). That'll come out easily enough.
3. There is springs/piping attached to the front bar from the wheels. Get a knife and slowly pry it off (at the bar) - the bar will then just fall off.
Good luck!

Thanks guys, i did have a look though those threads last night.
This is a dodgie iphone pic of the front of the car. I have taken all the screws out of the chassis front to rear and the chassis falls away towards the rear. The front wheel wells are caught by the front bar. VE Tander i can't see the other small screw you mentioned only the one in each wheel well which have been removed.
One thing i did notice was the the steering column in the engine bay seems to catch on some piping too.

I did have a read through those threads last night. This is a phone pic of the front of the car. All chassis screws are removed front to rear. The chassis falls away easily at the rear but the front wheel wells are caught by the the front spoiler.
Ve tander are the screws your mentioning the one in each wheel well or are they different?

The ones i was refering to was in the wheel well.
What particular model of car is that you have and is it a CC or a biante?
I pulled a BF apart recently and if i recall correctly it was just the 2 - one in each wheel well.
the steering column is only an issue when you take the cage off the chasis.
Are you pulling apart the entire car? If so take out all the screws you can first.
I think you will find that the car shell is sandwhiching in the front bar, and until the shell is lose, the front bar might not come off.
Sorry for not being able to be anymore help

The car is a CC steve ellery 888 ba and i just want to separate the shell from the chassis.

That's all good mate, we've had issues in the past with spammers, so sadly we've had to put up the shutters a little so to speak....sadly this can make things a little slower.
Welcome to this wonderful forum & we how that you enjoy your stay!

FYI. What i had to do was remove the brake resevior which sits over the top of the steering colomn in the engine bay, this allowed the chassis/engine to drop down. Now the front bar can't be removed until the chassis drops out and with the front of chassis caught behind the front bar it takes a small amount of force to separate it carefully.
Once the chassis is removed there are two screws holding the front bar on which can't be accessed while the chassis is in place.
thanks.
