Gee this rumor was almost as bad as the Ingall to SBR one. It's been going around for quite a while.

So does this mean Wilson have gone to DJR as his replacement ???

Only time will tell if this is the right move for the Rat. At least he won't have to worry about changing the seat setting anymore come endurance time, considering he isn't much bigger than Canto.

cheers.

Don't forget the dints in the team transporter !!!!

I think Max only broke 1 finger in that accident :D

I think we might see some positions for pannel repairers at DJR in the comming weeks !!!!!!

cheers.

Dick Johnson in his 1999 Tru Blue video:

Quote " We have signed Paul Radisich, he may cause some carnage along the way, but thats the nature of V8 supercars".

So I wonder if Dick got sick of repairing all of the Rat's cars & gave him a great big shove, or did the Rat really want to move from a proven long term race team with a long associated history of succes, for an unproven raceteam ?

Going on the track record of the two teams in question (DJR & Briggs) how would one bad season make you want to jump ship, (remember in 2001 DJR was the top Ford team in the championship) to a team which appears to have been just as slow.

Last year neither team won a race, sure Briggs had the higher placing of the two teams in the championship with 11th compared to Jr's 14th, but by changing to Briggs the Rat hasn't really achieved very much.

I hope Briggs are paying him a lot more than DJR as I couldn't see any other reason for the Rat wanting to leave (unless he's been sacked of course).

cheers.

Maybe he has been? Can anyone see DJ sacking Junior? Can anyone tell me what really happened when the 2 DJR cars took each other out last year? The NZ race, wasn't it?

Steve, I've thought the same since they showed the look on DJ's face when he saw it himself.

I can't see Jr getting dumped as he has been the performing driver at DJR for the past 2 years (looking at the championship positions), if anything the Rats performances over the past 2 years would tend to force more pressure on him, properly why he left the team.

cheers.

Yeah, that was a classic open-mouthed "duhhhh?" look, wasn't it? Can't blame him, when did you last see team-mates destroy each other like that, outside of F1, that is. DJ was really ducking & weaving the next day on TV, too. Couldn't get a straight answer out of him, reminded me of the species that everyone else sends here: "Politicious Horribillious"!:D

The Rat might do a BETTA job smashing up his new Falcon.

Don't be too distrought, he'll still be banging up a yellow Falcon, it just that now Dick can join in with the rest of us laughing at his inability to drive without hitting something or someone.

cheers:D

Seriously, i suppose Betta is the best sponsor to have. betta get the relacement panels ready, betta bring out the yellow flag, betta bring out the pace car, betta pack up and go home..... i mean the list is endless, but at least there will be lots of "plugs" for the sponsors during interviews. And hopefully "betta" ones than the examples i gave.....:D
