Does anyone know if any or all of the Group B rallying monsters have been produced in any scale, preferably 1:18.
The cars were;
Ford RS 200
Audi Quattro S1
Peugoet 205 T16
Lancia S4
Lancia 037
I would love to see a set made with all of these cars as they are a big part in World Rallyings history. Anybody else share my thoughts?

Hi FordFan,
I'm another who would love to see some 1:18 Group B rally monsters.
Kyosho make a 1:18 version of the Lancia 037. This model is currently available on the Biante web-site. I don't have this particular one, and have never seen the model, but I would be very interested to know what the quality is like from someone has.
There has also been a rumour floating around for about the last year that AutoArt are making 1:18 models of both the Short- and Long-Wheel-Base Audi Quattros. So far none have materialised, and I don't know what the state of play is with these models.
I would also love a quality model of the Lancia Delta S4, as this was a great rally car in its time.

I do have this model (037) and the detail and finnish is out of this world sensational !
Also do have the Delta Lancia made by another crowd and this is of a much lower standard but I do like it nevertheless
The Minichamps 1/18 Quatro Audi's are around the corner so to speak.
Auto Art has got the Bitsmissing of McCray 2002 already out and about.
The earliest "rallycar4 I do posses is a Desoto from an African rally in the 50/60 era including a Lion! and luggage on the roof. :D

Ferrari Fan - Thanks for the comments on the Kyosho 037. I hadn't heard that MiniChamps were producing Audi Quattro rally-cars. Did you actually mean AutoArt, or are MiniChamps doing them instead or as well?

Minichamps have already brought out a 1/18 roadgoing Silvercoloured Audi Quatro and so the rally car will follow as they have already done the 1/43 model.
I am home now and have grabbed the other Lancia model and this is a Lancia Delta Intergrale Evo2 the first of the 4 wheel drive Lancia's made by Ricko!? and a very acceptible model with the full Martini decals.

I'm sure you mean Auto art. Minichamps only did the Quattro in 1/43.

In addition to this red RS200, they did a white one and a (IIRC)Rally of Finland version.

In 1:18 it is AutoArt who have made the Quattro, in both silver and dark metallic grey, plus the road version of the short-wheelbase Sport Quattro is due out in Malachite Green this year. Rally versions of both will be produced "in the near future", but which rally isn't clear. They also say they will be making the other Group B cars in 1:18, but no timescale given. I would love Kyosho to make the road version ("Stradale") of the 037, and perhaps they could be persuaded to do the S4 in its road version as well!
So maybe 6R4, RS200, Manta 400, S4, 037 and 205 T16......I hope so!

I am standing to be corrected as I was pretty sure that it was a Minichamps ,Sorry!
Be aware that there are 2 different cars depicted/made by Kyosho of the 037 #5 M. Alen and a #1 driver? I obviously have the first brought out version:D

KY8341R(red)KY8341W(white)Delte E2 (street)
Rally KY8342A Monte Carlo#4
Rally KY8342B Tour de Corse
plus a few more,so your wish seems to be achievable in the Lancia department. all in 1/18!

Thanks for the info Ferrari Fan! Very good news indeed, and I'm always pleased to hear that there are other Group B nuts out there! We have a Group B car club over here, which is great, to see 6R4s and RS200s, Sport Quattros and Manta 400s, Renault 5 Turbos and 205 T16s zooming around an airfield track on a weekend! Check out www.dukevideo.com for all sorts of great vids!
I know it never achieved anything of importance, but do you remember the Citroen BX4TC? I'd love a model of that, as it was Citroen's works entry to the Group B scene, before their current successes today. Ahhh, I can dream....

Yes I do have fallen for a "lot" of Duke video's and DVD's
I do have "Murray's Motorsport spectacular and a fair bit of this has the rallycross action in it plus more on the infamous days of Rally
What engine had the Opel Manta 400 in it ?

It was a 2.3 4-cylinder with 16V head, but sounded fantastic. It was one of the traditional rear-wheel-drive Group B cars, like the 037, and in its evolution version had the wide wheel arches and spoilers that set it apart. I found at short notice a picture so you could see a late model 400, or at least part of it!
