Hey Biante I thought 'SOLD OUT' meant just that SOLD OUT ,NO LONGER AVAILABLE . Not sold out till we find a batch we forgot about !!! Oh well bad luck to all the collectors who had to get them s/hand at $150 + .So for anyone who has a 'SOLD OUT' model for sale looks like it aint worth that xtra 20-50 folding ones does it !!!

I think you'll find that they weren't ''found'' in a warehouse....
If you had bothered reading past threads you will happen to discover that these VL's were the remainder of the original 12,000 planned...... and manufactured at a later date.
Found in a warehouse.....do you realise how rediculous that sounds, I'm sure Biante have an idea where they put their models.....have you heard the term 'stock control' a company this large and professional would obviously take pride in this otherwise they'd have gone down the tubes years ago.

Could someone from Biante tell us what other cars they only had a part release on so that in future i do not get Ripped off by paying to much for what was believed to be sold out.

Can I also be mad at Biante? I paid release price for both my red and blue A9X models and just recently learned of a sale in which they went for less than $90 each.
Their values are ALWAYS supposed to INCREASE, right?
The fact is, we can never be sure if some future event (whether in Biante's control or not) will postively or negatively affect the price of a given model. Will you be out here singing Biante's praises when the value of one of your models triples?
If you think this is a harbinger of future Biante release methods, bBurago is always an option.
As three_o_seven mentions, this topic was well-covered in other threads.

Since this is a VL Walky thread, I figured I would use it for a genuine question.
I just received my VL today. It looks wonderful, but I can't unscrew it from the secondary base! Arrgh! I have a relatively small screwdriver, but I can't get enough pressure on it. I'm afraid to apply any more.
I'm just about ready to take a Dremel to the blasted thing. (the base, not the car!).
Anyone else have a problem unscrewing the inner base?

I got very sick of that too, but got a very small headed screw driver with a long and thick handel.
Works great.

I remember the warehouse comment but was it in relation to the VL. I can not find it to see. And don't worry about FF he Biante's Biggest K*** A**.
Its a shame though for all those guys that paid way to much for a simple road car model. Pitty the extra body shells were not used to create some of the early HRT cars.

If my memory serves me correctly that post was regarding a few (2 or 3) models that had been sold out for a while. These were returns/left over stock and they were all placed back onto the site for sale. The most we had was 3 of one car, not an entire shipment of Walkinshaws.

Just a quick question,i`m not sure if this has been asked in another thread, but do biante plan on releasing anymore racing walkinshaws, like the factory one that raced at bathurst in 1988,alan grice`s FAI sponsored car,the GIO,Beaurepairs,or any of the privately entered cars?

Whilst I cannot remember exactly which cars the 2 or 3 mentioned by Richard were, I am pretty sure one of them was the Apollo Blue XB GT (as this was when I was lucky enough to get one).
I don't believe the VL was one of the warehouse discovery models. If it was I am sure there would have been only a couple of them, like the XB GT.
This was quite some time ago (May last year?) so how it could be thought to be associated with the release of the second half of the VL's that has only just occured is a mystery to me.
I feel sorry for the people who may have paid more than they needed to for VL's, without knowing that there was still more to come, however, as has been said by many before, you pay what you are willing to pay. If you buy a new telly, then see it in the same store a week later for $100 cheaper do you abuse the shop or do you accept that you paid what you were willing to pay?

Maybe if it said temporarily out of stock when the item was sold out all this squable would not be happening. The only other option is to make the COA's up to 8000 first then release the NZ version of 4000.
I also think the cars found at the back of the wharehouse where a couple of the original release Monaro's , an XB GT and a box of XY GTHO Yellow Ochres without COA's.
One more thing for FF, get your self a bucket and place it under you chin.

To me it was common knowledge only 6000 were made in 1st run, and 6000 more later. My shop told me about this when those 1st run models were released. He also said most of the shops were told about this.
