r35gtr 1:18 - kyosho or autoart better?

hi guys,

merry xmas to all :)

my wife bought me a 1:18 autoart r35 gtr which is fantastic but my question is whether it is better quality than the kyosho equivalent?

1 thing i like about the kyosho is that it is available in the 'premium' model which has the black wheels whereas the autoart has the standard silver wheels

Kyosho Premium looks much better, Autoart is based on the base model.

from what ive found on google, autoart has better fitting panels, better brake discs and boot lid has those black holders wheras the kyosho has better wheels and interior...i just like the black premium wheels sooo much more on kyosho.

What other differences are there?

I wonder if i should stick with autoart and paint the wheels, anyone done this?

I would not go any further on this Marko. Remember, your wife bought it for you. That she obviously supports you in your hobby is number 1 and you want this to remain.

There is nothing stopping you buying the Kyosho version as well but I would not be getting rid of the Aa. Just remember to display it where she can see it.;)

i think i might paint the wheels dark like the premium & stick with the autoart - am i best off leaving the wheels on the car or can i pop them off & remove the tyres?

I have the same issue as you Marko - I have the AUTOart versions only b ut the Kyosho smoked rims looks infinitely better.

However, Mal mnakes a very good point. Don't do anything to upset your wife who bought the car for you. She thought she bought the right one. If you suddenly pull it apart for painting, she may think you don't appreciate her gift, and then it's curtains for you pal!!! :D
