taken from the Club collectors newsletter Feb 20th
"Biante will be having a bigger involvement in the Konica Series for 2003 with models and backing for several drivers and teams. Our joint effort with DJR has resulted in Tony Ricciardello piloting AU car #71 this weekend.........Andrew Jones will also be competing....in the Ozemail AU as will Terry Wyhoon and Young Guns Dale Brede, so follow the action of Konica cars this year."
WOW !!!!!!!!!
I can't wait for these models (well the Ford ones anyway!!!). I think its great that Biante are making these models as the Konica series gains momentium.
After watching Terry Wyhoo's career for so long it will be great to get a model of his car.
I wonder if Biante will make Tony's Alfa as I read in AA that he is intending to defend his sports sedan title.
Looks like us collectors are in for a bumper year in diecast,
cheers.

Grubby,
Peter Gazzard is currently 5th in the Konica championship. He drives an ex DJR falcon for HMS racing, which runs out of Adelaide. Peter lives in Mt Gambier SA which is approx 400kms from Adelaide. His family owns a huge car dealership in Mt Gambier.
Gazzard by all reports can drive just about any car he gets into. I think he has done Bathurst numerous times in V8's and GTP Showroom production, also Targa Tassie and Grand Prix Rally's which he has won and I think maybe was robbed of winning this years rally.
Attatched is his driver profile:

must admit Grubby, I thought they would be there by now.
Perhaps admin is very busy today & has a lot of paying business to do.
I'm sure when they get a speare moment they'll approve them. In the meantime I'd better check them to make sure I haven't done something wrong.
cheers. :D

Peter Gazzard has been around a long time, he was the joint winner with Rick Bates of the 1990 Peter Jackson sponsored Allan grice organised Search For a Champion Competition. The 2 winners raced in the 1990 Bathurst in a VL Walkinshaw spec Commodore. There were 2 other finalists, they were Brett Youlden and Jason Bargwanna. Jason went on to race in the 1990 race anyway with John Gerwald and Brian Callaghan Jnr in Brians Commodore VL which was his dads converted VK, it ran in carby spec.
