I've seen the posts on removing the wheels on 1:18 models, but what about 1:43 models, especially Biante's 2002 - 2005 V8 Supercars with the 'steerable' front wheels. How do you remove the wheels without breaking the fragile suspension pieces ?

From what I've seen they're actually the same as the 1:18's. There's a small screw behind the wheelnut. Just pry the nut off cleanly and unscrew :) Should be anyways.

I was watching the telly once with my Longhurst 04 VY 1:43 in my hand and I was fiddling with one of the wheels. Then it started to get loose.....then really loose. I saw the wheelnut was on the floor and there was a screw underneath.

Hope that helps.

The Autoart produced cars with poseable steering are the same as the AA 1:18. Wheels are glued and press fitted against the hub. VERY difficult to remove without breaking the hub and suspension (but I have seen them litterally fall off. Biante produced cars are press fit against the axle, no screws so should some off easier as there is no steering mechanism to damage.

Longhurst 2004 VY is a Classics model, these have the screws under the wheel nut on the 1:43's.
