i was watching a doco on discovery on this thing the other night, unreal!!

The main place I look at to find some prett insane Aussie cars is Street Machine Magazine. They aren't exotics though so I wont bother posting any.

From one angle I would agree with you, from the other though they are also chalk and cheese...

I saw one in that exact colour yesterday, it looked like a dropped meat pie with tomato sauce, nothing says try hard like the HSV E2.

yeah, he was featured on rides a few times. he makes some nice muscle cars. Chip Foose is another one who makes some awesome rides.
