For those people interested in the Sydney area the next Model Car Swapmeet will be held at the Penrith Panthers Pavilion on March 23rd 2003. You can usually get those hard to find models there at a good price.

Oh, I do watch it, bernoo. I couldn't have missed it by much. Oh well. If the person who bought it sticks it out on Ebay for a quick buck, I'm flying over there with a big stick.

zeitgeist ,

what is the most you want to pay?

I have a friend with a Sierra and he wants 500 Aus (250 USD) for it. I will have a talk to him and see what the best price he wants for it.

I dont agree with the profits but I will ask.

Hey Mark - $500!!! Jeeeeez they are not going for that much. Even on sold or ebay I have seen some not even sell.
Glad I have 1!

Hey Mark -

Thanks for the offer, but if with goldie on this one. That's a little, uh, "excessive". I have noticed on the auction sites that some over AU$300 are going unsold.

Sorry all... didn't mean to turn this into a "wanted to buy" section.

Cam/zeitgeist I would never sell someone a car for 500 bucks. I will have a talk to him and maybe he will let is go for 280 - 300 bucks.

I dont agree in profiting off others.

Cam how is the VL? We have just added to our collection. We borught and older XR8 for the Mrs to go to Uni and we brought an 85 Bluebird for me to get to work.

The Bluebird cost us 500 bucks with a pink slip and is very clean. It is an animal (2lt 4 speed) it it cant do 24 flat down the 1/4 I would be shocked ;)

Hi Mark,

Yeah $500 for the sierra is a bit much...$280 is a decent price these days...

VL is good, petrol consumption seems a bit high though?! Seems to have a bit of power which I was impressed with, although the suspension could do with some stiffer springs. Gets taily in the wet too which took me by surprise. $500 for the bluebird is pretty good.

Are you going to the swapmeet Mark? I am going to have a look, might be able to hunt down the #1 Brock car :D (only one missing in my brock collection).

I will try and get down there Cam.

I went last year and picked up a 1:43 Bronze wine GTHO for 65 dollars. Depends on how I feel after a night on the turps, Satuday.

Feeling good about tonight?

Go those MIGHTY EELS. Mate it is going to be a big year.

vt2envy,

There are swapmeets held almost every other month in Perth. Typically either in South Perth, Beckenham or Gosnells. Just check the Sunday Times readers mart and look under 'Matchbox' or 'Model's.

On the 25 May, the West Australian Model Collectors Club will also present its 'Model Auto Expo' with approx 50 displays of models and numerous trading tables at the Cannington Agricultural Hall. Hope you can attend.

Nick,

Check the Trading Post in the collectables section. Most Collectable and model markets are advertised there.

Yes Sir, I'll be there and so will be "jager" with a display table
On my part ,I will be displaying ""Old Steel Wheel Tractors and Steamers" this year as afew other clubmembers are going to do Formula 1 and themes of the BIANTE range I.E. Ford& Holden.
plus I am not allowed to display the Marlboro livered all concering Formula 1 FERRARI bolides:mad:
Jager no doubt will have a very well executed display as per usual and so will be many others.
I for one might wear last years ferrari dressshirt for easy indentification like evey other past years:D
Hope to meet up with you all (again) on this memorable day!
