basicly falcon is shutting up production to make way for the torus like world release replacement

i wouldnt worry too much (for supercars) im sure there will be press releases 2morro or dont worry we have the ford future sorted etc etc all over speed cafe and the news

They're still evaluating which car they'll use for the Australian market. Marin was talking about using our design team in global projects, and hopefully whichever car they choose can be built here as well.

As for motorsport, it would be devastating if we went down to a single make. Hopefully the COTF document will attract some more manufacturers.

So Ford is ditching the Falcon, what a shocker of an idea. After all the horrible looking Falcons over the past 20 years, they finally get if right with the FG and now they want to "can-it". The FG is one great looking car, and i'm a Holden man.

on the news they spoke to head guru's in ford and said look really ford has done this to itself and blah blah blah stupid decisions GFC our cars need to be blue only etc etc etc

We should be developing the large car for the world market. Our Falcon should be what everyone worldwide should be driving if they want a large Ford. It's definitely a smarter option than us being stuck with the pieces of junk they spit out of the American factories. The Taurus is gonna sell like hotcakes if thats what they end up going with because its such a masterpiece of a car haha

call me cynical, but has anyone seen the sales figures of the Falcon lately...??? Knowing that an actual decision isn't due for at least a year, I wonder if some of this hype is to generate some sales interest....

Why would the coming of the Tauraus effect V8SC one little bit. They only have to cut & shut the body to fit on a project blueprint floorpan. If ypu guys still think there Commodores & Falcons racing I have a bridge in Sydney I'll sell you cheap.

quick hint to everyone insted of going out and buying that pissy little 4 cylinder buzz box go out and get a falcon it realy doesn't cost that much more to run, and don't get a BMW or merc get a falcon same thing but better to drive and alot cheaper
